Can read nor save my Evo 8 stock ecu ROM

Hi,
do anyone here know how could i open and read my stock evo 8 ecu on my friend Air Trek?

My ecuflash cant open the rom as we are planning to save a copy of the stock rom and continue with the flash.

You are attempting to wire an 8 ecu into an Airtrek? Has the Airtrek been converted to a gearbox?
