The Evo 8 version that is available (and VR4 Galant / Legnum H8 version) is running fine. I have had this in my car for a year now and not had any problems with it including track days, dynos etc. Basically it has allowed me to forget the whole thing and just put in whatever fuel is available which is exactly the purpose of the patch.

I still have the Evo 9 ECU laying around but my car is running very well at moment with Evo 8 ECU so I haven't had much interest to convert to SD or do Evo 9 port. Maybe in the future if nobody else is willing to port to other ROMs (not that hard really).

Any ideas if there would be any memory overlap or address issued if one were to attempt porting this to an SD 9417 rom?

No idea. AST has yet to address it, and the one U.S. guy doing anything with this had his car wrecked in an accident. It's on pause unless we can get a programming guru on the case.

It wasn't my fault. My name is evoredy.

I don't see too many issues other than managing the memory area. Room is slim in this rom but I'm *pretty sure it CAN be done. I have not disassembled and marked a V7 9417 yet or the AST patch, but from the source, it looks more than doable. The V7has A LOT more stuff than the V5.10 roms at an obvious glance to include more use of memory. Being the scholars tephra, jcsbanks, mrfred, and such who worked on this stuff, I'm sure they tried to leave room as much as possible and map accordingly.

Come on guys, get IDA, get KPIT, get a good hex editor, disassemble and map EVERYTHING in the rom your working on to include memory areas, do the same for AST's mods (after you successfully patched a rom), find the subroutines, find the tables, learn the mods done to implement SD, work around them, identify tephra's mods, edit the disassembly and add AST's patches (of course changing addresses and memory areas to accommodate your flavor of rom) verifying alignment and memory mapping or re-mapping, use KPIT with your handy batch file to compile, chop the stupid header (and end of file garbage) it creates with your handy hex editor, disassemble again, remap everything to verify no overlap and code integrity, flash, test, and report. Its easy. I may have skipped a few steps lol. I'm really busy right now otherwise I would love to help. Good luck and I'm sure someone smart will jump on it.

So, in reviving this from the dead, has anyone played with this lately?

I'm picking this project up where evoredy left off (thanks man) and will be posting progress installing it on my USDM Evo 8 running 9653E706.

GM Sensor received - http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVROLET-GM-OEM-13577429-Emission-Sensor-/121162154700?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c35d3c2cc&vxp=mtr
GM pigtail ordered - http://www.jegs.com/i/Chevrolet-Perf...52241/10002/-1

Schematic and PCB laid out:

Components ordered from Futurlec.

Once I get the components I will build and test the circuit to confirm expected output then install and test on the car.

Good luck! This will be a game changer. I have no idea how to do it or I would try. If it can work with tephra V7 3D SD that would be awesome.

If you are talking about 96534705 from roadspike why don't you just patch it and try it yourself? I'm running MAF on 96530706 so I can't test it myself. You don't need the sensor or converter to test the ROM.
