im extremely interested and looking to purchase either once i return or right before (so it will be waiting for me )
i know you expressed that it is fast enough to run evoscan and the gauges and such but is it possible to add more memory?
im also going to use this as my in car stereo placing it in the dash with a double din bezel, can i load Pandora and a mp3/4 player to it as well? im assuming its like a regular tablet that apps can be added and removed.
im excited about this as i have been looking for something similar to this for a while. i just hope we can reflash soon with it as well.
thanks for your hard work

So the first batch of these won't work on Subarus, correct? I really wanted to preorder one, but I should probably wait...
Also, any possibility of adding more than analog 4 inputs on the cable? If not, any plans to add them in the future?

Yeah, it is called EvoDroid7 because its for our Evo's other vehicles will be supported in the future as time permits me to program the software for them.
I did mention that it contains 44 inputs on the mcu I'm developing the cable with, but just exposing
4x ADC multi-purpose inputs/outputs,
1x Key ACC input,
1x 5V, 1 GND,
1x Serial Input.
I can't think of why you would you want more than 4x 0-5V sensor inputs? unless you were building a space shuttle of a drag car
If you wanted 20 inputs and weren't constraint by price, for you I would buy the old EvoScan GPSNav $437 and use a USB based DLP-IO20 $79. it would work with subaru and support up to 20 inputs. PM me if you want me to put a kit together for you, I have all those parts available on my shelf.

I am a complete noob to all this datalogging stuff so please excuse my inexperience if my questions seem stupid.
Does this unit log the data (and save it) in such a way that I can extract the data, and using a program such as RaceRender, graphically overlay it on my videos? For info RaceRender supports datalog files with the following extensions - .NMEA, .GPX, .CSV, .TXT files
Thanks very much for your assistance in this! If this will work, then I believe I will be in for a complete kit!!
Thanks,
Craig.

EvoScan data logs are .CSV files.

I wish I had to reorder some power supply circuit board parts this week because my intensive testing sessions found I wanted more charging grunt for the android, and I wanted better power switching capability from the ignition key so that the cable and android will turn off when you switch the key off and you can leave them in the car then. will be delayed at least two weeks while the parts get express freighted from UK. still aiming for December though. doing my best. happy to refund anyone at any time, and happy to take more pre-orders, still a few left available in the first batch.

its a new technology cable, vastly different from the last cables .. this cable is waaay better, you will definitely want this new one.. it has much better features. sell the old cable and put it towards a new gpsnav. you don't want to output to another display, just buy two EvoDroid7 they are cheap, and will then have enough grunt to power their own two displays.

I wish I could get back to NZ and give it a run on the Desert Road - one eye on Evoscan, one on the speedo and a third eye on the radar detector
