The one that says "Navigation?" Its google Navigation right?
Only works when I am connected to wifi.....

The new cable works just fine for me and actually charges the unit unlike the first one.

Are you able to connect your new 1.3DA cable to your laptop with a normal sized usb plug/cable? Mine does work and charge to the droid but it wont connect with the laptop

Just got the 1.3DA out of the car and I have the same problem. The plugs don't match up so it can be connected to the PC directly. The simplest would be a male- male wire.

SO what I've figured out so far.
I installed a different gps signal tester. It tells me it sees 11 sats, in use 0.
If you're getting loading errors from evodroid it's because you want it to display something it's not actually getting a signal for, ie load must be part of rom. If you have a stock rom, no load logging and so on.
The gauge designer is winning.
Also double din is a little off for fitment. Plus the button.
True I'd like the apk file to try it on other devices, but patience is easy.
Apart from those few issues I'm amazed that we are fortunate enough to have a Hamish doing something so mind blowing. As a HOBBY. Wow.
Oh yeah, I'm scared of the reset button, anyone find the bootloader?

I used program called Root Explorer to find evoscan apk file from tablet's root folder. I haven't tried it on other tablet yet.

Theoritcally I suppose since you have the device then you can do what you want with the APK just don't post it anywhere since its Hamish's work and I believe after this blitzkreig he is intending on releasing a Android App (and maybe IOS) for Evoscan.

Yeah, I thought it too. But this way you don't have to wait for Hamish to release apk if you want to use evoscan in different device

One of the reasons I bought one. I just want to be able to flash maps easily and I don't necessarily want the evodroid to be in the car all the time. Less to entice someone to steal.

You cant get much easier than a laptop and Ecuflash. Takes 5 minutes.
Evodroid was never supposed to be able to flash or was it??

The old evoscanPPC was able to flash so I'm sure this can too.

I don't have a windows laptop so it does get harder for us non-windows users.

And to think I sysadmin in a windows environment. LOL.

I hope Hamish releases the apk soon. I've been waiting a while to have a nice gauge setup on my Nexus 7.

My new problem is that when I connect the tablet to the PC, it isn't recognized and therefore I can't access the files and add things from the PC. My mini sd card is too small for a movie

This is Android, not PC. There will be no flashing until the hardware exists, we have no connector for it...yet? Also the software needs ported for Android. Hamish doesn't own Ecuflash. Could be a long time before someone, AS A HOBBY, decides to make it possible. Can't stress that hobby part enough. This is a logging/display tool, maybe one day we'll be lucky enough to flash with it.

Plus Android based frickin CRUISE CONTROL!!!
