horrible cold start, need help!
hi, so i have this horrible cold start on my evo..when you start it in the morning or whenever the engine is completly cold, the car starts and goes upto 2000 rpms for 10 seconds and comes down to 1300rpms or so and the car is completly shaking, from the engine to the doors everything and it doesnt sound right...
but if i hold the throttle to 2000rpms for about a minute, and when the car gets a little warmer its ok again..
so i want to know how do i make the car be at 2000rpms for longer than 10 seconds on cold start?
what perimetres in ecuflash i have to tune...

I don't think there is an idle control based off a timer, however, they are mainly based on coolant temp. you can play with this, but honestly I think you should find out whats causing this issue. did it recently start? Do you have a log of whats going on at 1300? maybe log coolant temp, target rpm, rpm...etc

I had this horrible 2000rpm cold start for three years after a tune >< and my engine didn't like it at all, it was making awful "knock" like sounds when cold, not cool.
Finally I stumbled upon the right fix for me last week in the MLR forums by total luck while looking for something else.
It was not idle stepper (ISCV) related or anything else I've ever read in the end but a disabled bit :/
Check :
Ecu Periphery0 (FAA) bits - bit 9 : Warmup IGN retard
Value should be 1
If it's 0 then change it and you have good chances of fixing your problem definitely
My revs do not go higher than 1500 now and very very quickly go down to 1000, it also fixes the annoying rise in revs when I pressed the clutch down to switch gear with the engine cold.
Good luck
