New to tunning and need help.

Hi Guys

Also does anyone know how the Knock sensor in the EVO is set, like is it sensitive and you should aim your tune to zero it all out? For example i know Power FC knock sensor is quite sensitive and any knocks below 5 is okay.

Do all tuners tune to zero out knock all together on evos?

I also cannot log loadcalc for some reason it shows up as zeros in the log.

Also donated and got sent 90550001 v7 from David as well, am i right to assume i can ignore all the fuel/timming maps on the rom and all i have to use is the maps under "MODS" in the tephra rom? Just making sure as i dont want anything going pop on me hahah

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What request ID are you logging for your LoadCalc and LoadMUT2Byte? And are the addresses in your MUT Table corresponding?

Thats all sorted now

I had to log IPW and RPM before loadcalc in order to get it working.

It was at the very top before which is why it didnt work

General rule of thumb:

Aim for zero knock. The occasional 1 or 2 count is OK, as long as it's not at the same rpm/load in every pull.

Just my 2 cents: Try not to delete the original topic. People use the forums to search for the same questions you have. Deleting your original question makes replies to that question almost useless, since people will move on once they see what's in the first post.

Adding to the orginal post works too, but leave the other questions in there.

I agree with Raptord: zero knock is the goal. If I see consistant knock, then I make adjustments. If it's above 3 counts and it's inconsistant, then I make sure everything is in order and may need to log some different parameters, such as air temps, etc.
