Odd problem with boost control
Hey guys,
I have a odd problem with the boost control (tephra mod Evo8 Ecu).
I just got an solinoid so this is the first time I'm trying to use that feature.
I set low and high gear correction to 0 and everything to base on load.
Than I used the WGDC map to set the dutycycle like I want.
This is working the first 2 gears (WGDC set to 0 because its an FWD car).
In 3. Gear the Ecu is acting really strange.
I logged WGDC today and it clearly shows that if I do a 3 gear pull it is changing WGDC to numbers I did never use in the map.
So it will start with 100% closed (before hitting 150load), than it goes to 80% (this is what I did set in the map).
After this it fluctuates between 26% and 80% a few times.
I thought of boostcut and set the boostcut to 319% so that shouldn't do anything.
It is still fluctuating, the load curve is following and does the same fluctuation (210-170% following the boost curve).
Can anybody tell me why the Ecu is telling the solenoid to do this?
I really don't get it and driving like this is no pleasure of any kind.
(Doesn't matter but just to prevent questions: car is an Eclipse and doesn't have any map sensor installed).
