Injector scaling smaller than actual size

Well gurus.

Ok heres my question, my injector scaling of my jdm Evo 7 is 450cc. Why would this be when standard injectors are 560cc?

Is there a reason why someone would do this? My IDC is hitting 120% at 220 load...

Please shed some light. Been trying to search what is happening but didn't know exactly what to look for. Haven't hooked it to my WB yet.

Thanks

All injectors are scaled ~15% lower than their rated flowrate (for pump gas at least), this is normal.

Also you scale the injector for the fueling needs of the car-- you could run 2000's and scale at 750.

The car would probably run rich despite the fuel trims maxing out trying to reach stoich with that big of a gap between rated flow and scaling

Sure, more for the sake of making a point aside from being correct. As you know many folks buy larger injectors that they scale to meet demands today with the intention of running say e85 later and the need to rescale for that purpose without having to buy new injectors..

Your high IDC% means you're requiring more fuel than your injectors can deliver. 120% of your scaled 450cc is 540cc which is super close to your 560cc max rating. I'd dial that boost down a bit, connect the WB02, and address your fuel issues real quickly.

I cant cause the actuator is uprated. Came with the 9 turbo. Bigger injectors be the next step after i check AFRs? Ill try log by the weekend because of work commitments.
