I think there is just some confusion because I worked through Chet since is doing my tune (he worked with Tephra to convert my ROM, etc.). All resolved now though since Chet sent along the XML.
One more question for those that flashed this via ECUFlash - I assume nothing looks/acts different in ECUFlash when the patch is applied? I just flash as normal? I wasn't sure if there was some way to confirm TephraXMod had been successfully installed. When I logged in Evoscan it seemed faster, about 190 samples/sec.

I believe tephra's V2 work includes significantly optimised "mode23" data transfer.
So, yes, you would see EvoScan om-nomming a lot more variables per second.

I donated for the V2 + EvoX-Tool back in Feb-2014 but this SST issue seems impossible to overcome

All the work is moved to the V3 (that is V2+Flexfuel) , but also there I don't know news since weeks/months for our SST. It was nearly "ready to go" and some are betatesting too but I'm starting to loose the beliefs at this time.

In V2, the "Current Map" indicator used the tacho to show Map 1-9, eg. 1krpm-9krpm.
Unfortunately, on SST vehicles, the rpm info sent to the tacho was also processed by the SST TCU! And it did not like seeing impossible/mismatching rpm values compared to other things it was able to observe.
So a fundamental incompatibility that couldn't be worked around on SST.

And what about using a flashing light as for knock cell? 1 flash first map, 2 flashes second and so on or other simple tricks?
I don't believe I'll need all V2 maps but 4 would be great!
Our SST cars need a little love ;-)
Thanks

As far as I understand from tephra...

Guys with SST should really look at tephras site:
http://www.tephra.it/v3/
"MR (SST) support - Unfortunatley TephraXMOD V2 wasn't able to support SST's (the Tacho replacement also feeds the TCU, and SST's didn't like being told they were at 9000rpm, when they TCU knows the input shaft was running at 2000rpm (or whatever). V3 keeps the tacho altmap selector method for GSR's (5MT), and adds a Intercoooler Spray light flasher to SST's."

^yup, for SST it will use the knock light flashing to tell you what map you are on.
As a tester for the V2 on the SST, trust me if you ever wanted to see the gearbox develop multiple personalities and then need an exorcism, this was the way to do it. And that was just sitting at idle in my garage!! changing maps while actually moving caused the earth's rotation to change several times per second.

I'm quite sure he is busy for the last details on the FlexFuel part(CANBus compatibility)
He promised the V3 out for this week , it depends if down under is working the other way round , like the week is ending on...wednesday?
Sorry Tephra , just kidding , but from last year I'm really drooling for this upgrade
We all owe you much , so take all the time you need.
