Rom changes necessary after installing omni bar map sensor?
Hello,
I've installed a omni4 bar map sensor on my 2g dsm. I have got an Evo 8 Ecu with tephra v7 96533706 rom without speed density. I've installed the map sensor only to log boost. I'm using the load based boost control.
I'm a little bit confused, are there any changes necessary in my rom? I've read, that the 9653 rom doesn't use the map sensor to control the engine.
Is it right, that I would only have to change the evo scan function to 0.2369*x-14.3?
Thanks for helping
Marcel

If I'm going to use the psi based boost control in future, how can I calibrate my rom to the omni bar map sensor?
Best regards!

You need to change the settings in the ROM to work with the Omni. Also need to set scaling to suit your altitude for accurate boost readings.
