Having problems with Live Tuner

It was working flawlessly all day till the evening. I stopped live tuning and went back later in the evening to continue, it connects, ram test is fine, ram check says everything is fine, but no tables pop up and their are no tables to select in the drop down menu anymore.

I've re-downloaded the Live Tuning app and the DLL but it has not remedied the situation.
Has anyone run into a situation or problem like this when using the live tuning app?

In activity log it says and nothing else

... writing memory pointer overrides

I had this issue when I had 2 separate MetaData folders in my computer under 2 different users. I now have both users working out of the same folder and all is good.

Hmm, computer only has one user account on it, was any of your definition xml modified from how they were originally with tables that were not in there originally? I do remember adding tables in there to the parent xml for the 55570005-6 but not into the base evo10base.xml since these addresses are only in the 70005-6 roms.

Should I try using LT with a vanilla xml definition file and see if it connects and shows the live tables within the ram?

I can see this thread is kind of old but im wondering if you got anywhere with you problem? I am having a similar problem with live tuner. Only my live tuner program freezes up anytime i click on ram test or the connect and tune button. I have maps on my screen and the logging displays data but not sure if its saving it for offline viewing or not. Does tephra have any more instructional information for live tuner anywhere? beyond what you get when you download it from his page?

Has anyone gotten the Live tuner to work with V3 rom?

i enable ALT maps, mode 23 is obviously on, it says Openport 2.0 is connected, but i have no maps to pull up from the drop down box.

@tephra ?

i had the same problem. I was missing code lines from my rom. It took tephra to determine this so im not going to be able to help and sense the rom is vin coded . Best bet is to just try and contact him thru his donation and standard emails. He's a busy guy so expect to spend a few days waiting for a response. However it's worth it. Mine does work and Live Tuner is pretty sweet. I have dyno time planned for the 11th and it cant come soon enough.

I don’t understand how to install live tuner tephra v3

Hi I have evo x mr 2010 usdm, I want to tuned my car with live tuner , I have v3 mod xml 55580306
I don’t understand how to install,

How do I use it?

First - make sure you have Microsoft's .NET 4.5 or above installed!!!

Second - get Live Tuner from these links:
ZedGraph DLL
Live Tuner.exe

The DLL must be in the same directory as the .exe!!

I don’t understand how to put the 2 file in the same directory exe

i put those in the same file but it’s not working the software open but everything is blank.

Need help please!!

Open the explorer, create a folder into somewhere (ie. your desktop ), put "ZedGraph.DLL" and "Live Tuner.exe" into the folder. That's all tephra explaining.

Have you installed ecuflash before trying to use Live Tuner? ( tephra's explanation in his site is below. )
>Live Tuner utilises the definitions included in ECUFlash, this means that Live Tuner looks at the rommetadata directory for defintion files, it also means that any errors received during a ROM Load need to be resolved in that location.

If you have already installed ecuflash, did you put your 55580306.xml into the rommetadata folder of the ecuflash like other .xml definitions are in the folder?

If you post about below, someone might be able to advise you.

1. Which windows do you use? (eg. Windows 10 64bit, Windows 7 32 bit, etc )
2. Did you install .Net above 4.5 into your windows? (eg. .Net 4.6.1 installed )
3. Where is the folder your 55580306.xml is in? (eg. c:/Users/username/Documents/ecuflash/rommetadata/mitsubishi/evo/ )
4. Can you open&edit your 55580306.bin by your ecuflash?
5. Where is the folder your ZedGraph.dll and Live_Tuner.exe are in? (eg. c:/Users/username/Desktop/LiveTuner/ )
6. Do you see any error messages when you open your Live_Tuner.exe? (If so, can you attach the screenshot?)
7. Can you attach the screenshot of your LiveTuner application?

I have the same issue.

Live tuner opens, connects, but is blank and shows no drop down maps.

If you disconnect from the usb you get an error. It knows its plugged in, it knows where the rom data is, but I get nothing.

You need to do a patch on your xml!!

To enable live tuning you need some additional XML!

Put this into your V3 XML file (before the </rom at the end):
<table name="Fuel Injector Scaling" lt-group="0" lt-memory-blk="80501e"/>
<table name="Cranking Enrichment IPW Adder" lt-group="A" lt-memory-ptr="805040" lt-memory-blk="80c030"/>
<table name="High Octane Fuel Map" lt-group="0" lt-memory-ptr="805020" lt-memory-blk="80c050"/>
<table name="High Octane Timing Map" lt-group="0" lt-memory-ptr="805024" lt-memory-blk="80c200"/>
<table name="Reactive Solenoid Base WGDC Map #1A (High Gear Range)" lt-group="0" lt-memory-ptr="805028" lt-memory-blk="80c410"/>
<table name="Reactive Solenoid Base WGDC Map #2 (Low Gear Range)" lt-group="0" lt-memory-ptr="80502c" lt-memory-blk="80c510"/>
<table name="Boost Target Engine Load #1A (High Gear Range)" lt-group="0" lt-memory-ptr="805038" lt-memory-blk="80c610"/>
<table name="Boost Target Engine Load #2 (Low Gear Range)" lt-group="0" lt-memory-ptr="80503c" lt-memory-blk="80c710"/>

<table name="MIVEC Intake Normal Coolant Temp" lt-group="A" lt-memory-ptr="805044" lt-memory-blk="80c800"/>
<table name="MIVEC Exhaust Normal Coolant Temp" lt-group="A" lt-memory-ptr="805048" lt-memory-blk="80ca00"/>
<table name="Injector Battery Voltage Latency Compensation" lt-group="A" lt-memory-ptr="805050" lt-memory-blk="80d100"/>
<table name="MAF Scaling Horizontal" lt-group="A" lt-memory-ptr="805054" lt-memory-blk="80d150"/>
<table name="MAP based Load Calc #1 - Hot/Interpolated" lt-group="A" lt-memory-ptr="805058" lt-memory-blk="80d280"/>
<table name="Calibration Fuel Map" lt-group="A" lt-memory-ptr="80505C" lt-memory-blk="80d6a0"/>
