I am finally getting around to installing my Zeitronix ECA, so I can tune for E85.
I used Tephra's install directions for the ECA analog signal to tap into the fuel tank differential pressure sensor, but want to make sure I have the right harness and wire.
Anyone have a picture or can confirm that I have the correct wire harness under the dash?
Also, am I just tapping into the fuel tank diff pressure sensor wire or am I disconnecting the sensor like installing a wideband O2 in the place of the stock rear O2?

*edit* I decided to tap into the brown wire of the fuel tank pressure sensor at the fuel tank for two reasons. 1)100% sure it was the correct wire 2) the wire harness under the dash was so cramped.
David was also kind enough to confirm that I needed to terminate the sensor wire from the sensor before connecting the ECA ethanol % analog signal wire.
Thanks!

Left front driver's side harness has the blue marker and the brown wire in the center. The harness is to the left of the clutch pedal pivot in the picture.

Pretty much went through the same thought process when I went to wire my Zeitronix ECA for flex fuel. Using a Bosch style connector made it plug-n-play for the fuel tank pressure plug.

Afterwards, I decided to rewire my sensor so that it didn't cut out during cranking. Functionally, it was never an issue starting up but the CEL will flash a few times after starts to indicate that the E% has deviated too far. Using an adjustable timer-type relay resolved this "issue" for me.

I'm still battling the usual cold start issues right now.

Any fast guide how to install the XML file?
I guess it is not as easy as XMOD3?

I guess I'll keep it under rommdata> Mitsubishi> Evo like XMOD but how do i get the XML fragment to a XML document?

Thanks!

just edit the V3 xml in notepad, and paste that XML fragment BEFORE the </rom> at the end.

then save it (if you get a privileges error/message then save it somewhere else, then copy the file back in and overwrite it)..

then just make the change in EcuFlash (to disable P0455)

that doesn't seem right, the stock value should be 1594

did you grab the correct XML fragment for your ROMID?

Hi Tephra!

I had probably managed to pick the wrong XML now it is 1594
should it be so, or raise it to 7969?
