But I guess for 50.00 more you can just plug it in.

The stock ecu cannot read the sensor directly. You need an ECA such as this product to convert the signal.

Yes that is the complete kit, all you need is that and a tune on the latest tephra-mod with flex fuel for the EVO X to be fully flex fuel enabled.

That kit looks awesome and easy to install. I went the DIY route. I'll have to splice all the wiring and fuel lines myself. I bought this ECA:

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32356

It should arrive tomorrow. I got package B: $70.

I bought a 13577429 Continental fuel composition sensor off ebay: $49.75

Dorman 800-085 Fuel Line Quick Connector - 2 Piece off Amazon: $7.57

Tephra e-mailed V3 to me 3 days ago for my 2010 USDM SE.

yeah there are some nice kits coming out...

keep in mind you have a number of connection options:
- Rear02 - 5v analog (for USDM guys that want to keep the EVAP system untouched
- Fuel Tank Pressure - 5v analog (for guys that want to use the Rear02 for logging AFR, and either dont have EVAP (AUDM) or dont mind splicing in (USDM)
- CANBUS - digital (in the final stages of being developed by our Finnish friends)

Hey guys, I run FlexConverter.com. Im excited to finally have a full kit available and I think I was able to keep the price fairly reasonable as well!

As a rom developer myself (subaru), I realize how much work goes into adding features like this to the stock ecu code. Big thanks to David for making flex fuel possible on the EVO X! Im hoping my kit can make it that much easier to make the switch to flex fuel. Ive tuned a fair amount of cars on flex this past year and its a pretty amazing concept. Its awesome to simply drive up to a gas pump, pump a different fuel in, and drive away with 100+ more horsepower.

One snag that I did come across is that the AUDM EVO X doesn't have the fuel tank pressure connection like USDM cars. Because of this, my kit is USDM only right now. Im working on a simple solution for AUDM guys though so hopefully I can get that figured out soon.

@razorlab, I was able to tap into the evap purge valve 12v source for the plug-and-play. This worked out perfectly as this is an MFI relay switched 12v and its fairly close to the fuel pump sender. I use the fuel tank pressure sensor ground so as to have a clean sensor ground which reduces the possibility for voltage offset from the module to the ECU.

Thanks!

Jason

^ RE AUDM FTP... the wiring isn't there obviously, but the PIN is free on the ECU... so its easy to wire in, AND you dont need to disable evap at all, because AUDM doesn't have any

also guys - im processing requests as fast as possible, so dont get worried if I dont reply to you in a couple of days

Hey Tephra,
I have a bench cable and would be more than willing to test out the flew fuel mod.

What is your email address?
