Issue with dialling in 1600cc injectors

hi all, having huge issues in getting idle and cruise trims good on pump gas. At the moment, I am using the new generation Bosch 1600cc high impedance injectors and am struggling to get them dialled in. no changes to intakes have been done.

At the moment, my findings have been the following.

cruise is lean hitting max trim of +12.5 with injector scale at 1270, but idle is rich to buggery. I have used the latencies supplied and have even dialled them lower to try to make the idle leaner, however, I am having little luck with the idle being at -11 to -12.5.

To get cruise better, I should decrease the injector scale, however, that is only going to make the idle even richer. Is there a map that I am missing or something. it seems really strange that I have such a different injector scale on pump gas as I was lead to believe that it should be near the actual size of the injector (+-15% of 1600)

Any help would be much appriciated

They are😁 the guy who installed them has used them many times on Evo 7-9. The issue is that I have 85 dialled in really well, just pump being a pain. Know what to do??? Or just swap them for something else?? What would you recommend then

ok so here is where I am at. I have finally had some success with these injectors. What I have changed is the following.
Started by decreasing the value of Minimum IPW SHLL5 (stock) from 1.28 to 0

reset latencies to manufacture settings for the new injectors and dialled in injectors to 1600

result - had idle lean and cruise lean.

dialled down injector scale to 1400 and left idle latencies as is

got cruise within +-2.5 and idle was lean +10

increased latencies and got them +-2.5 but cruise went rich -10

finally found a set of solutions that worked. whilst doing this, I was increasing the minimum ipw shll5 (stock) a single increment at a time.
with my final setting being at 1.028 and trims being all under +-1

I have now a new issue which is that the car suddenly stalls when at idle. if the air conditioner is on, this does not happen because of increase in load, however, most days, this will happen when I am driving. I have tried increasing the idle rpm a little to increase the load, and hopefully stop this from happening, however, I have no idea why this is occurring. the car will be idling well, then suddenly stalls without warning. Any ideas

Hi! I know it has been a long time but have you found a solution for those issues you had? I'm tuning a 2012 Evo X with the same injectors. Thank you!

Happy to help. Firstly, ignore what was written in this post by myself. I was correct that the minimum ipw has to change, however, the stock rom is unable to run injectors that big without some alterations first. You need to patch the rom so that the increment change for the minimum ipw is smaller than 0.256. The problem is that injectors that big dont need to be open that long under idle, so it will just be running too rich. The minimum ipw needs to be set at around 1.16ms.

You can then set your ijector latencies and scaling as per usual. After doing the patch, my injector scale for pump gas (98 iron/93 octane) was 1329, and the latencies were as follows

the way you have to patch it is in this post if you have the same rom,

Thanks mate. That's a great info. Anyways, I couldn't find the XML defs for 57140001. On those posts you said you found a way by comparing the bin/srt files. I guess this is still too much to much tiny brain. Any procedure I should follow to find out?

Thanks a lot again.
