Problem reading Rom in ECU flash.
Okay, I'm helping my cousin and so I'm pretty new at this but here goes.
I've tried opening ECU flash and getting the stock rom pulled off but when it completes the process it gives what seems to be a common error of "Unknown rom image".
I've saved the rom and posted it here as stock.srf
It seems that we need a different definition (XML) and so I've downloaded some to put into the ecuflash folder but it still doesn't read anything.
From my best understanding the xml should be 58010005 or a 2012 evo x gsr 5 speed. (US)
I can however open in evoscan and save the file as a hex file (given below) which I can then open in ecuflash and look at everything but I can't test write, write, or change the file in any way.
So what do I do now? :P
Thanks ahead of time!

Ok- I had this exact problem and had to find the solution- so I will try and help you.
You need to chose the wizard and "inherit". You will be able to find the rom number when you inherit it with another one. There was an excellent thread with how to do this, and I forget where I found it. Once you get your correct number search google for "123456789 xml definitions" (where 123456789 is your rom number, which you found after going into the file once it was inherited)
Does this make sense?
WAIT*
My post may be useless. I now notice you are working on a CZ4A. I drive a CT9A. This may not work for you.

I've no idea what the CZ4A and CT9A are but I've messed with the inherit thing and instead of giving the definition of 58010005 it gave 58010006?
Is that the rom number? Other than that I couldn't find anything else because I read about that somewhere as well before I posted.
Thank you for trying to help!
