flash CEL but 0 Knock!!!
Hello guys,
I set for CEL flash slow when knock >3 and fast > 6 with min load 40.
Sometimes when i release the clutch at traffic light i see the flash CEL but log says 0 knock!!
Where is the problem? is a CEL for knock or for another reason?
Car is evo 8 stock turbo, with GSC s2, ASNU 1050cc. SD 2D, Curt Brown extreme manifold with S90 70mm TB.
Thanks

Min load of 40? haha. Bump that up value up to around 100 at the min. If you were to constantly log knock, you would see all kinds. Lucky us, at lower loads the side effects off knock are greatly reduced. (Meaning, even though we all see knock at lower loads, its fine.)
As to why it didnt catch? Maybe it was one cell that randomly hit. Up the load and see if the problem continues.

Under load the car run fine with 0 knock at WOT with 1.65bar and 11.0 AFR at rev limiter.
Just for my curiosity I set the min load to 40 for eliminate some random knock at 60-70-80 load with 2500-2750-3000 rpm.
I don't know why evoscan didn't catch the knock!! Too strange...pc works fine (i5 with 8gb ram and ssd hdd)...i think overkill for using evoscan!

So you set the activation point to a lower load, to only eliminate knock found at higher values....Rethink what you just said. Because this does not make sense.
Raise the load to about 100 as I said and see if it happens again. Chances are, it prolly never caught it on the log. It can happen if its brief.
