2Byte load for 96260007
hi Guys,
I've been wanting to do this for some time. Could never get the exact details of what was required. After reading many threads and 1.5 years I've decided to post. The time lag is due to various other projects but nevertheless i've been looking at this particular issue in the background. Now I am a newbie, so I do apologise if this is posted in the forum, but I've searched this forum quite extensively and have not found the data i require. I'll list what I've done so far and gathered from about a dozen or so threads.
I have a 2004 Evo 8 MR ROMID is 96260007 @ 0xF52 in the ROM.
I've also gathered from another thread that "2byte load for 96260007 is 0xffff8984" from tephra.
So i looked up this in the official 2byte thread and found a match.
"
96420008
2byte load
MUT 00 = 8984
MUT 01 = 8985
2byte RPM
MUT 02 = 8962
MUT 03 = 8963
2byte AirFlow
MUT 04 = 89E2
MUT 05 = 89E3
MUT 3D TABLE ADDRESS = 39FA0"
So i added that to ECUFlash.
<table name="MUT table" category="Misc" address="0x39FA0" type="3D" level="1" scaling="Hex16">
<table name="X" type="Static X Axis" elements="16" scaling="Hex16">
When i load this up in ECU Flash i get the values above in the locations below.(see attached image)
Now my question is what do i need to change 8984 and 8985 to?
As it is using 1000*x/256 i get a number in the 20K region(maybe 200K) in evoscan, so not sure how to proceed from here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ta.

why is ur mut table address 39FA0, but in the picture u have 38158. thats wrong. i would find the xml defination for a mut table. then put it into ur xml defination, and changing the address to 39FA0. open the table and change the request ID in 00 to 8984 and request ID 01 to 8985.
in the latest versions of evoscan search for "Load Mut 2Byte Mod" and in "request ID" put 00, and in "request ID2" put 01. select to log it.
the eval it uses is 0.3125*x
that should get u the 2byte. saying that i would upgrade ur rom to 96260009 and preferably V7 tephramods as that rom is the most supported. and they got 1byte load.

hi Ziad.
thanks for that. I think i had an out of date definitions file, from one of my previous attempts at this. I've updated it so it looks as it should. I will attempt to the upgrade the rom if these settings are correct and the 2byte load is as expected.

hi Ziad,
i did what you suggested and upgraded to 96530006 V7, using your thread. I copied the wastegate dc and boost desired load from the original map(to all 6 gears). This rom seems to cure most of my high knock counts, they've come down from 10 to max of 5 and the occurrences are down 50% to about 4 times on a drive. I've only had one drive on the new map and it seems to work just fine. I intend to plug in my grimmspeed ebc and run a little boost on this new rom. Let me know if i need to watch out for anything while running slightly higher boost..
thanks
CJ
ps i had a 2byteload max of 3225.625 and a 1byteload max of 211.2 multipliers match on evoscan and the rom....
