CEL P1400 after VSR intake install??
 

Im getting this code after the install of the AMS VSR intake... I still have the sensor plugged in as i was told to do and just sip tied up under the intake as theres of course nowhere to put it ont he VSR... but its pulling this code still. Do I even need this sensor or can i disable it? And if I can disable the CEL light for it how would I go about doing it? I have disabled my P0300 misfire code using the binary bit mod on my ECU. Can I do the same for this sensor and where would it be located?? Any help is greatly appreciated. The CEL in my face non stop is drving me nuts!!

you need a map sensor adaptor that ams sells (part number SKU1801) its a adaptor that your map sensor bolts to then you simply run a hose from the adaptor to a vac port on your monifold.

Other then the annoying CEL light is this going to hurt the car in anyway, performance or drivability wise?? I just drove it home from installing it.. so havent had mich time to see if its really affected anything.

I cant help you with this, but i can add a +1 to the problem. Ive also installed the AMS intake manifold and i now get Misfire errors as well. Ive also found it hard to get the idle running smooth after adding this intake.

I know its not the best section or thread, but have people found they don't really need to upgrade the intake manifold to make 600+whp?

Are u getting a P0300 misfire code or the P1400? My twin disc and Juns had me getting the P0300 constantly before the intake. I took care of it by disabling it through ECU flash. But the P1400 is what im dealing with no a misfire code.

You are 100% sure this is what I need? Im on stock ECU of course.

As for the code, the OBDII database shows it as "P1400 Heated Catalyst Battery Voltage or Current too Low During Heating (Bank 1)". I don't know if that is the correct code or what sensor you are talking about as (very unfortunately :D) I don't have any experience with the VSR aside from oogling.

Periphery2 (FCA) bit10 will disable the P1400 test, but the car still may not run well depending on what model year car.

What exactly is the manifold pressure sensor used for? Does the ECU take it into consideration when calculating load?

Would it affect the 94170015?

Its main function is to judge EGR system performance, but on newer Evo 8s and Evo9s, it has some secondary functions that affect idle. The only effect not having it installed on a 94170015 ROM would be the make the car throw a few CELs.
