Stop your Car Stalling from Clutch in!
 
Been experimenting with the ISCV Tables that MrFred kindly found.
I was having stalling issues after putting FIC 1050s in.
The car would want to stall on clutch in, or after lifting the throttle after applying light-medium throttle on high load (like going up a hill slowly).

I have fixed 90% of the stall issue by increasing the values of the 'ISCV Demand RPM Adder*' table!

500 11.8

2000 11.8
2500 12.2
3000 13.3
3500 14.5
4000 16.1
4500 17.6
5000 20.0

I made the first 4 values the same, so that the ECU doesn't try and interpolate between two rows and cause your idle to fluctuate.

Also, I've determined the function of some of the ISCV tables so that they have more meaningful names. This is for 96530706 by the way.

The drive tables don't seem to do anything on manual transmission EVOs; they look like orphaned tables from the Jap Spec EVO 7 GTA which is an Auto.
You need to make changes to the tables marked neutral.
The old 'Decel Fuel Cut Delay' tables are actually TPS based ISCV adder tables!

'ISCV Demand CTS Adder #1**' -> 'ISCV Demand CTS Adder AC Off - Neutral'
'ISCV Demand CTS Adder #1b***' -> 'ISCV Demand CTS Adder AC On - Neutral'
'ISCV Demand CTS Adder #1a***' -> 'ISCV Demand CTS Adder AC On - Drive'

One table missing is:

This table is called 'Desired ISCV intial step position with AC off-Drive' in the original ecuflash xml.
It should be relabelled 'ISCV Demand CTS Adder AC Off - Drive'.

'Decel Fuel Cut Delay #2' -> 'ISCV Demand TPS Adder AC Off - Drive'

'Decel Fuel Cut Delay #4' -> 'ISCV Demand TPS Adder AC On - Drive'

Scaling of these tables should be changed to 'ISCV_AX2_8'.

Nice work.

Mrfred already mentioned that the decel fuel cut tables were TPS demand tables. The defintions were adjusted in the main thread.

Ok ran this on my way home from work today. It worked very well in traffic. Before it was very common for my car to dip below 500rpm and stumble around a little and then idle backup.

Now with the changes, the car will drop to the 800rpm range and idle up nicely. Sometime at 3000rpm, and a clutch press in it would drop to about 1100rpm and then finally settle at about 850rpm.

I did have the car stumble on me one time out of 50mile drive in traffic and lights. However it normally takes my car a while to recover from the stumble, but now it took care of it really well.

2150cc Injectors
Evo9 Turbo
VTA BOV
Stock pretty much everything else.


A little more info.

I just tested the other part of this tonight, as the weather has diped into the low 50's in CA. This update has really helped my car idle 1000000% better in the cold weather. This is just fantistic. Tomorrow I will test this out with the AC on and see how that works.

If it's dropping to 800, then you might need to increase the values between 500-2000rpm to maybe around 12.8 or so.

Also, check you Base Idle screw is set properly!

Glad it helped out, keep playing with it and it should improve further.

Tried it out this morning; Didn't do anything to help me, unfortunately. I still had to feather the throttle to keep it from stumbling to 500rpm while I was parking.

I´ve been running without a ISCV for the past year (too expensive and weather here is stable) and my car stalled a lot if you gave it medium throttle or more and then pressed the clutch, as in traffic driving. My idle is set at around 900 rpm and that helps, but what totaly solved my problem was a properly working BOV.

My beatup Greedy Type RS had a leaky diaphragm, so I switched to a GFB Respons BOV set the spring tension properly and now the car doesn´t stall at all. Both BOV are set to 100% recirculating, but with the GFB even at 50/50 it doesn´t stall the car.

I am having the same issue from time to time, yet this is the only issue I have really had with the 1050's. Other than that, I love them :) Im running e85 on stock 8 turbo at around 400/400 btw. I will have to try this in the spring when my car comes back out to play...
