logged load seems high?

I just turned up the boost on my car to 22psi and on my my last few logs i have done the peak load i am seeing is 300. The only mods i have are injen intake, upper and lower ic pipes, manual boost controller, test pipe and tephramod v7. I don't know what my load should be but from reading Merlins EcuFlash EVO 7-8-9 TUNING GUIDE this seems high for the few mods i have? I have read that a boost leak could cause this but wouldn't that mess with my AFR?

Yes i would check for Boost leaks, And it wouldnt really mess up your AF reading because all your high load AF values are usually rich. with 22 psi you should b seeing 240ish load. I see 270 load with about 25 psi.

I plan to still check for leaks but my AFR doesn't go rich it stays at what my map is set at?

What load are you logging?

luapnrets Aug 15, 2011 06:26 AM

When I hit peak boost I'm logging a load of 300.

Hmm...I haven't seen my logs in a long time, but I'm at 28psi and remember seeing up to 340 on the load.

Not how much, what type. Are you logging 2 byte load? Loadcalc?

Asside from having a possible component issue, you need to ensure you are logging the correct compensated load.
Spark-Load has Baro correction and will read a little higher than Fuel-Load, which has Baro + Air temp correction.

Un-compensated load will read noticably higher than either Spark or Fuel load.

I'm running tephramod v7 so I'm using 2bite to 1bite load.
