locked rom evo 9
 

Hi i have just to by a new evo 9 but i have a locked rom into the ecu .....
I use ecu unlocker for reading from ecu but i can't open this rom in ecufash !!
I think it is an tephra mod rom with 2 maps e85/ 98 gasoline

The size shown for the file (512.1kB) suggests this might be a SRF format file rather than a true hex file (which would show the file size as 512kB). You could try renaming the file to change the extension from .hex to .srf and see whether you can then open it in ECUFlash.

I try it....but it don't work........I think that the rom is locked !

It looks like a modified version of 88840017 - for the 2006 EDM Lancer Evolution MT.
I stripped off the file header and then reset the ROM ID at F52 to 88840017.

Try this modified version of the file which is readable in ECUFlash.

Your 88840017.bin rom is ok in my ecuflash.......i can read it
you have only reset the rom ID of my rom ?

Yes I have only reset the ROM ID which is at address 0F52 in the file. The ROM looks like it is from the 8884 family which was installed in the 2006 European market Evos, but I cannot guarantee it is correct. I made an educated guess so beware.
