Evoscan Load. WOT Dropping.
Whats up yall. Im in the process of tuning.
I did a few pulls while logging and using map tracer. Car pulls good but towards redline my maptracer just goes out of wack. Anyone seen this before? https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...cf9e8e3acc.jpg This is the maptracer and Throttle Position is what is shown. Notice how the pull starts smooth and then goes way left on the map into the 0-50 load area? I never let off throttle. |
BUMP.
Trying to sort this out so I can proceed tuning and not grenade this thing. |
What was the last thing you did to your rom or evoscan ?
Did it started happening all of a sudden ? |

Thats your car's issue -- change 1.2 .. why ? 1.2x255 =306 and after that load drops to 0.. Change it to 1.5 , it will work buddy.. |
It started happening once i went speed density.
I set it to 1.4 right now. I havent gone to log but im sure that wss my issue. |
I read from tscomptuned that you take your load factor and multiply it by 255.
Idk were the number comes from lol |
Change it in evoscan as well to 1.4...
|
I did both.
|
So i tried 1.4 and wasnt enough so then i went 1.5 and still wasnt enough.
I ended up at 1.6. Fixed my issue completely. Car pulls hard and smooth all the way to redline like ape that just got stung in the ass. Also doing this cured alot of my sperratic phantom knock aand a smooth steady afr to redline. Cars making 512 hp at 30 psi with 6 degrees at peeak and 17 at redline. I know there is more room in timing advance. Which raises another question. If my map has 17 degrees at redline but im logging lets say 14 degrees. Can i keep raising the map value untill i log desired timing advance? Or set it at 17 and let the ecu decide if it can make it to 17* or not? |
"Car pulls hard and smooth all the way to redline like ape that just got stung in the ass."
ahaha thats the right way to describe a hard hit. What i have experienced is in some roms the logged timing vs the timing in the map has difference of 2 degrees some times 1 and some times spot on. My 7 has a sparktech igntion system logs spot on timing - my 8 also logs spot on timing but some times it logs less timing. Check your ignition timing trim maps - ignition trim vs air temp etc |
Ok also what kind of timing should i have during spool up? And how high should i go at redline?

This should keep you busy for a while. Lots of examples by very experienced people. |
