Is there a way to fully convert to Alpha N on DSM ECU

Why would you want to? It's an inferior tuning framework.

You can use Alpha N on turbocharged and supercharged applications look at the RB26DETT for example.

To OP... Why would you want to go alpha N you only do that really with ITB's... Just go SD and be happy...

You don't even know what alpha N is?
RB26 uses MAF.

It does in factory form, once they go standalone ( which is very common in NZ) They normally get tuned on Alpha N or at the very least a compensation table

With a standalone whey even do Alpha N? Just curious.

*EDIT* Found my answer. It seems with ITBs and boost a blend of Alpha N and SD is actually required.

Wrong again, they use ITB mode which is a blend of alpha N and SD.
Alpha N is used at low load, small throttle angle, no boost (inaccurate vac signal) and SD is used at greater loads where the boost comes up and where the resolution of the throttle angle is no good.
Again, alpha N doesn't and never has, never will work with boost.

alpha n could work with a blower where boost is a function of rpm, i had a zx10r with a centri that i tuned that way, but even attempting alpha n on a turbo motor? i guess you will get bulk discount on pistons :lol:

The original question is can you go alpha-n on DSM and how? SD runs like crap on ITB's and im not planning on going back to my original intake manifold. I just want to know if it can be done before having to buy another ecu (haltech or something like that).

OP I'm not familiar with DSM ecus but I know for Evo ecus there is no way to run Alpha N. Best bet is to get a standalone that has that capability. In your case, since you are on ITBs and boost, you will need to use a blend of Alpha N and SD for your tune. I know Megasquirt is capable of doing just that and being that they are on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to standalones it's a safe bet that higher end ecus such as Haltech, AEM, Motec, etc. have that capability as well.

Im not running any boost, just the ITB's. I just wanted to be sure if there was a way go full alpha-n on the DSM ecu before going standalone.
