Going to Nürburgring, Need an EVO~!
Aloha EvoM~
First of all, Happy Independence Day! :usflag: My friends and I are planning a trip to the Green Hell for about a week during October, it would be a flight from HNL-MUC. Please advice us on this if anyone has experience or knowledge, and a few questions: 1. If I could, I want to rent a track compliant EVO 8/9, where should I look? 2. We want to book our hotel rooms (DORINT HOTEL) inside the ring, How is the quality? Or should we book with another hotel? 3. How does the toll booth work? Is it pay-per-lap? 4. We're going, no matter what. Anything else we should watch on for? Going to the ring is kind of an adventure for us pacific islanders. I hope everyone here would share their knowledge and help us out. And of course, I do use Google and search, however, feed backs from forums are more accurate IMO~ Mahalo~ {thumbup} Edit: One more Question: Some Google results showed me that Oktoberfest ends in early October, and some saids end of October, which is right? Or maybe both are wrong? LMK, thanks~ |
Bump~

The nearest one is in Berlin I think, we are gonna be in Munich, and I am nowhere rich enough to buy another EVO just so that I could drive it in Germany, which I would probably not gonna pay another visit until, maybe when I retire? LOL~ and I am going in without a visa since my passport is American, tell me, how do I "try" a local mitsu dealership? |
He means contact a local Mitsu dealership and ask them.
Have a blast! |
make sure the track is open before you go. and there is a couple spots that have speed limits. enjoy

Have a blast! So far I've found Rent4ring.de a pretty good looking race car rental, but I rather trust our forum members~ so please give us more advice if possible~ |

And since no one answered yet, Oktoberfest typically starts on the third Saturday in September and goes to the first Sunday of October.
This year it will be September 21 - October 6. Munich is where the original is at but there are Oktoberfests in all of the big cities that are awesome as well. Check out the original Hofbrahaus in Munich while you are there, too. - Kiley |

Have Fun... For this trip, it's really not bad at all, and for an EVO X FQ as well. We only have our Playstations and drooling over the ring since middle school. You have NO IDEA how fortunate you are living in the mainland. It's kinda like once in a life time sort of thing. But we rather do the RS-M3 for a full day at €2099, or perhaps the Stage 2 BRZ on rent4ring. Even if that FQ is fast, it's still an automatic. Because it's a once in a life time thing, we really wanted to drive it in the car we like. We are kind of like the boy racers portrait-ed in that youtube video you posted. Since we're in Hawaii, the best we had on this island is SCCA Rallycross and Autocross, so we try to do a lot of those solo runs. But I think we have enough skills to at least stay out of the "hi-power experienced drivers" ways, and just do our best not to drift on the ring (Or Sh*t in our pants). So thanks for contributing such a funny and productive video on this post, Mahalo~ |
Anyway, the search for a CT9A continues~ thanks for all the replies so far~!
Please keep me updated if you guys see anything~ |
