Evo8 w/ IX turbo, HKS 280s, and Aquamist HFS-1

This was mid-summer at DB Performance in Rogers, MN. Thanks a million times over to Shane, this is a self tune but he gave me lots of advice. Ambient was about 75-80 degrees. 1.0 correction factor on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. With alky, peak boost is about 29psi.

Power mods:
Buschur Racing 3" TBE w/ bullet testpipe
Buschur Racing Intake kit
BR Deluxe FMIC kit (3.5" core)
BR Upper IC Pipe
OEM IX BOV
HKS 280 cams
ARP headstuds
BR Ported/Coated Exhaust Mani
Ported Turbine Housing
OEM Evo IX turbo
BR SS O2 Housing
BR Ported Intake Manifold w/ EGR delete
BR 65MM TB
Walbro 255HP fuel pump
4x Kracka Vent setup w/ ebay catch-can
Buschur dipstick retention spring
Aquamist HFS-1 Alky Injection Kit
FIC 1050cc injectors
GM BCS
Evo X MAP sensor
Innovative LC-1
Tephra v5 ROM w/EGT Elim & Direct boost mods

Pump gas numbers, 25psi peak: (these aren't nearly as fine tuned, just basic pump gas map for mapswitching purposes)

Comparison:

Special thanks to tephra for his mapswitching patch!

Why not? They start, drive, and run perfectly on pump gas, and provide tons of overhead should I choose to run E85, upgrade my turbo, or both. I did switch to E85 about 3 weeks ago, loving it, and guess what, did not need to touch my injectors Plus, I can keep my fully tuned pump gas tunes as-is in case of emergency.

Hey guys, no track times sorry. It's my DD and with the amount of practice I'd need to get it down the 1/4 mile efficiently I'd surely break something. Drag racing is not really my bag, just having a fast, powerful street car that I can throw some friends in is really all I want!

I did just put in some Kelford 272's and GSC 5039 springs, and I've also switched over to E85. New numbers coming sometime...

To the guy who is scared of alky, please do some research. With the Aquamist kit, direct boost control mods, and tephra's map switching mods, there is literally *nothing* to be afraid of. 50/50 is not openly flammable so there's no reason to be scared to have it in your car or in your garage. If there's ever a failure of any kind, you drop down to your fully tuned pump gas map and then address the issue. Flip the Aquamist off in the meantime and you can just drive around non-alky but full pump-gas power. No 'limping the car home' until you fix the issue. That being said, I haven't had any issues in the 30,000 miles and 2 years I've been running alky
