Juan I also drive a WRX and when I made the switch I was so happy.

I am going to blow up my 5 speed but at least I will do it with a smile on my face

This E85 stuff is okay. Notice no difference from 85 octane.

Just that when I'm driving through cattle ranch areas, the cows tend to run to the fence faster...

pretty sure you can't get E85 in a drum, unless you furnish your own drum and fill it up at your local E85 station, in which it will cost you $X.XX(50)

people thought i was nuts when i did this with my honda CRX B16 turbo 5 years ago for a college project.

I have always been a fan for e-85 as a performance fuel. And to date i have had no problems with the fuel lines or the fuel rail which are all stock.

Since this is technically a stock turbo how are you holding power? Are you adding crap loads of timing?

There is a lot of timing in it, but it could have taken more.

There is zero counts of knock in it, and I know that with more boost it would have taken a lot more power.

E85 is excellent in warm weather but its sucks donkey shaft in the winter. As soon as temps get around 32* here it takes 10 cranks lite off.

I would love to find a cold start solution to E85 so I could run it all year. I wish there was a fix. I don't even have to deal with testing, I have no cat, I can disable whatever the heck I want but still no fix.

Jeff you keep posting about the cold start stuff but have you tried the stuff I always post in response?

There is a cranking IPW adder based on coolant temp that you can tweak to help the cold starts, this is the exact same thing that the "E85 conversion kits" do for cold starting.

I think this is the third time I have replied to a post of yours about this.

Good to be in the midwest where E85 is available all over the place.

Hmmmm I remember reading that before but not taking action..... I think it was because I have no idea how to access the IPW adder. Help!
