E-85 is neat

Hello,

I did a car on Friday on E-85. It is not as easy to get here quite yet so it has not picked up like it has in some places (colorado, california ETC) but this car is not a daily driver and there is a station not far from where he works so we decided to make the switch.

I switched to E-85 in my car some time ago and I am a firm believer in E-85. There is no reason why you should not switch if it is available to you.

Anyways on with the numbers:

Mods are as follows:

Evo 8
Evo 9 Turbo
ETS Intercooler
880cc Injectors
Mynes Exhaust Manifold
Prototype Cosworth Cams
Ecuflash

Boost was at 27psi. We were not leaning on the car at all. This car could have taken more but this is still on the stock clutch so we took it easy.

Thanks for reading,

Mitch Mckee

Nice work Mitch,

I do love me the E85.

I had a 05 8 with just TBE, GM 3 port and fuel upgrades pick up 71whp/59wtq over 91 octane.

Jesus juice!!

I'm a corn fanatic as well, although it still isn't that readily available in California. I believe that there are only a handful of E85 stations in the entire state. I made 425/400 on a stock 9 turbo at 29 psi.

You have to supply more fuel so bigger injectors and a pump if you dont already have one.

Also depends on turbo size vs required fuel and so on. Post your mods and I can let you know what it would take to get it done.

For sure, with stock turbo 1000cc and a single pump would probably be enough(Double pumper if 440+whp).

Anything over that, a mod list would be required and certainly a double pumper and over 1000cc.
