There is definitely more to replace, two friction surfaces and two discs, then whatever the main cover needs and of course the flywheel.

makes sense. just didnt expect a 'rebuild' to be so much different from a single disc.

Luckily I got a QM TD w/ 1k miles on it for $600 in perfectly good condition. hopefully i wont be needing a rebuild anytime soon.

thanks for the headsup.

You also have to replace the floater and pressure-plate surface as well as resurface the flywheel (cutting steel flywheels and replacing the FPK on Aluminum ones. This requires the unit to come back to us but the rebuild time is less than 48-hrs in most instances. Every company is different and the above info is relative to our kits only. you should get some revised test units of a lighter assembly on some cars making power and going to the track often and see if the revised unit(s) diminishes the complaints about gear lockout/shift problems at high rpm.

The Cust. Service is there...just should touch up on the product some, and then the consumers will have a complete package..

Since this issue is found on a limited number of units (3 now is my count) this truly isn't widespread. I have one of these units coming back for further assessment and testing (E85's clutch). I just spoke with Mike and I am sure that he will keep you all up to date on things and I will do this as well. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks and have a good afternoon!

Apparently it is still in the realm of possible and the car runs flawlessly. It is my daily driver at 37psi.

How the hell do you get that much boost out of the red? People with the Black have trouble going past 37psi
