Red vs Black on Pump
^why won't you reply to threads on a Sunday! And it isn't like you have a pile of work to get to on Mondays, or customer cars to look at all weekend! </dripping with sarcasm>
Calm down a bit, Mirage
Aaron was busy helping me out on his "day off"
Back to this thread (kind of): Aaron - I got a head's up on good 4-day shipped pricing on S2s. Did you already put me in for a set? If so, nevermind.

Nope they are the latest version but not the version that was in the Red car that was posted apparently. Centerline changes and obviously the overall duration of the intake cam have been altered. I went back through my engine simulation where I also keep track of everyones motors that we have personally built and compare my sim to real life.
It quite clearly lists the lift much as Greg had posted at 11.2/11. I think him and I had talked about an S2 that might have had an S3 in the woodpile and this is where I got confused. To be clear I was holding off on responding if in fact I had totally barked up a wrong tree. Greg clarified the point for us before I could respond.

you back Mikey?
From looking at your previous Red Graph and this Black graph, It looks like the Black makes 20-25 more horsepower at the same tq level.
Once Eric and I get my car modded if my tq is still above 400, like it is now, I may not go Black. I would however be okay on 575/425 on the Black but I don't want to break anything.
Also I see that you are getting the S2s. Your tq will prob go up 20+ on those cams. They like to make a lot more tq then the Mseries cams. However, making another 30-40hp would be pretty sweet.

JB, what type of fueling supply would be required for a black on E85? Is a double pumper necessary or could the ID2K's work with a AdjFPR? I don't want to get crazy with my fueling system but definitely want to be very safe.

You will definitely need a big pump setup if you are looking to max out the Black on E85. Luke is using 2 Bosch 040 inlines (slightly smaller than the 044) rigged in parallel and -6 lines to a -8 feed w/ AFPR. On top of that its feeding FIC2150s to make sure we have the fuel for the power.
Dan, no I'm still overseas. I just happen to have computer access. I come home next Thursday, I think...

I'm not jumping on the S2s yet (Jaybles needs to reply to my email! haha) but will right after the new year probably. Gotta figure out another excuse to get down to Vancouver.

255 Inlines flow a little more because they dont have as much pressure drop, the pumps I am talking about are even larger. If you have modded 255 in-tanks its about the same. The other reason I lile inlines is 2 in-tanks and all the fittings makes it awful crowded when you need to work on the pumps.

the Black outperforms the red in every aspect. Full boost at 3800 on a stock 2.0l and 600whp+ possible on a mustang or 700+ on a dynojet is pretty impressive. I'm running the FP black on 29psi, tapering to 27 at redline with a very conservative tune on E85 and i'm putting down 450/390 on a mustang all day long. At higher boost and a less conservative tune, this turbo will $h!t all over the red even more. /thread.
