4G64/MIVEC/FPBlack - 92 Chevron

Drove down to ER today and let Aaron do his magic:

These were on straight 92 Octane Chevron Pump gas @ 27psi.
Corrected:

The 422 pull is a comparison of my car from earlier in the year on stock IX turbo and block running e85

Uncorrected:

My Black EVO:

The Infamous JohnBradley aka Aaron:

My 4G64/MIVEC/FPBlack Setup:

The best krew in the PacificNorthwest:

Thank You English Racing for helping me pull this kick-*** combination together. The dyno charts only tell part of the story, you need to feel how hard this car pulls to believe it. This is the best pump gas setup I have owned through all of my various DSM and EVO setups.

My build information can be found in this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...pressions.html The only difference is a 4" intake pipe and conversion to Speed Density.

what was the reason for stopping at 27 psi? i noticed you had allmost zero knock on your tune. This is still on the 1200's and single correct?

Single modded Wallbro pump and the PTE 1200 injectors.

The new engine only has 400 miles on it. Aaron and I had a set goal in mind for pump gas numbers, we made it there with room to spare tune wise. I'm pretty sure we could have pulled a higher number out by pushing it more.

The result was a HUGE powerband on straight 92 octane pump gas. I'm content to drive the car as is for a few thousand miles and then see about the jump to e85.

Aaron wimped out and got his number .

I am pretty certain we can keep going on this one and that the noise is probably not real. However since I seem to be getting inconsistent data out of my knock sensor I was being very conservative on a customer car. The timing is about a stock turbo 2.0l level or so, noise is low, and boost is low.

When the motor has a little more time on it and Johnny has gotten some enjoyment out of it we'll revisit it on pump I am sure. It was responding very well to timing, it picked up 13whp with 1* and no boost changes. Using my adjusted airflow method this was probably about 20% higher if it was on a 2.0L so the tune might be a little more aggressive than it looks like.

I want to figure out what is going on with the MIVEC 2.4 block stuff as well, it seems that the stock computer is being lame and not really very consistent. This has a modded MIVEC gear and I only got it to give me more than 28.4* once and it looks like that might have been a reporting error. It should have 36* motion, I had it set at 33* and got 33* for exactly one cell in a log. I wonder if there is a background map playing with us that we cant see.
