electronic boost control is where it's at. You can hold boost to your own tuning desires.

I have to say this guy Tom has been most responsive to all my inquiries, out of the blue!
Nice guy!

Tom, my VIII has 151k miles on stock motor and runs perfect on IX turbo w/ 350whp/350lbs on S1 cams. I love the torque on this setup! But, you know we all want more! So, I am ready to send it off to FP but cant decide between Green and Red. I want close to 450 - 500 whp on street on 93 and even E85 maybe all on stock block w/o too much lag... what would you do? thanks bunch.

BTW, I should add that 1.5" runner exh. header is being built to Toxicfab for my stock frame turbo setup. While torque is great what's missing I feel is top end... so maybe red but I dont want lag...ahhh I cant decide...

Well on 93 might want to think black if you want 500 close to 450 or more its a red and better cams. The S2 cams are going to bring the red out. A green is good but a tubular mani will drop your spool 3-500 rpms.

Nice power.

Fp green FTW!

I'm surprised it held the power all the way to redline without cams

500 on 93 you need a fp black.. a really well combination setup could do it on a green or red but im talking a big $ setup.. more displacement and such..

so i would go with an fp black for 93oct, you will definitely pass 450 easily. most likely pass 490 like most cars do.

Thanks guys. Some details about my motor.

I am on a complete stock short block, head, intake manifold, throttle body. I do have the EGR, Evap removed and disabled. It doesnt add power, but removes a possible leak. Also I am running the OEM diverter valve. Its crushed just enough to hold 24 psi when I last tested it and zero flutter issues. There is a little more it can go before it bottoms out, but I havent decided to crush it more and money is tight right now to get a quality piece.

Last time I did a boost leak check was last year and only had an injector o-ring leaking. Fixed that up then upgraded to FIC1250. However I never upgraded the oem throttle body seals and they never leaked either. Hopefully they are still holding from last year.

Also I have a shep trans street/strip build with Evo VIII 3rd 4th and 5th gears .

If your referring to a EBC like the Greddy,AEM or a real EBC like the HKS EVC 6 or Apex-i AVC-R those are good and do ok but I am ditching the HKS EVC 6 for the Grimmspeed EBCS and ECU Boost.
