IVEY TUNE Evo IX MR FP RED PUMP GAS. Before and after results same dyno!!!!

Last month I put on a FP Red Turbo, the thread for the install is located here.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...tune-come.html

I drive a 2006 Evo IX MR, below is my MOD list.

· HKS Intake Filter

· FP 84mm Intake Pipe

· FP Red Turbo, Ported by FP

· FP 25 PSI Internal Waste Gate

· Ported Stock Exhaust manifold

· Evo Power Mods 3” 02 Eliminator downpipe

· AMS Resonated test pipe

· AMS Cat Back Exhaust w/Vibrant muffler

· Kart Boy Exhaust Hangers

· Synapse Synchronic BOV, Re-Circulated

· AMS Intercooler Pipes

· AMS FMIC

· AMS Mini Battery

· Spoolin-up COP ignition Kit

· Denso IKH24 Gapped at .22

· Works Aperture High Pressure Throttle Body Seals, OEM Throttle Body Gasket

· Catch Can, Re-Circulated to the Intake

· GSC S1 Cams

· ARP Head Studs

· Walboro 255LPH Fuel Pump

· ACT XTSS Street Clutch w/ Street Disk

· SS Clutch Line

· Shifter Bushings, Under Hood and at the Shifter

· Stop Tech Slotted & Dimpled Rotors

· HAWK HPS Pads, Dot4 Fluid

· BLOX Front Engine Motor Mount

· AEM Tru-Boost Boost Controller

· Swift Spec R Springs w/ OEM Bilstein

· Volk LE37 Wheels

· FIC 1150cc Injectors

Below is what the car made with a 29PSI spike settling to 27PSI and then a 27PSI spike falling to 25PSI. As you can see even at a low boost the power is great. 93 Octane only.

I plan on running 27-28PSI spike and just have it fall to 25PSI, no need to have it at 29PSI all the time.

Now I had the opportunity to be tuned by Sean before on my stock turbo. Sean was kind enough to over lay the stock turbo run with my new FP Red run. Enjoy.

As you can see along with the stock turbo the immediate torque hit is gone. No matter, really it doesn't once the turbo hits and hit it does you have a serious top end. I feel daily driving is unaffected. Up top it pulls and doesn't let up. The urgency just accelerates and all the weaknesses of the stock turbo are gone. I would really recommend this setup as there is plenty of room to grow. a HTA Green is nice as well but once you start turning up the boost you have a very fast car.

The FP Red gave me a 100WHP gain on pump gas and almost a 50 Foot pound of torque increase. If I ran E85 I could hit 500WHP no problem.

Very nice - power looks great High_Psi. You hit full tq around 5k vs the stock at 4k right? What are you hitting full boost at?
I bet she always feel's like the car just wants to go go go

I'm not sure the HTA green isn't a great contender though. As after my recent install and ER tuning I got 415hp / 363tq.
List is:
FP HTAGeen 84mm
FP 4R cams
FP adjustable actuator
Spoolin-up COP
1000cc injectors
Works TBE
ETS short route IC pipe
ETS 3.5 IC
APS valve (still recirc'd)
SD convert
JM intake pipe
Stock exhaust manifold

We still had room to push it up a bit but I still had the stock O2 so my boost wouldn't go any further as hit peaked at 27psi and fell quick to 23psi. I'm going to be changing out the O2 with a nice TiTek unit, along with adding some ARP studs like yourself and see what I pull out on 92pump. My tuner believes that it's possible to pull around another 15whp from what room left we were seeing with the car.

Here is my sheet for comparison -

Congrats on a fine job and keep boostin hard

The Red does really well on pump gas. Sure the Green will hit you with torque for a lil bit but the Rush of the Red hits and it’s over Johnny. I can’t see your Dyno graph as it is bigger than the sky, you need to fix that. Notice I have 300 Foot Pounds of Torque at 4000 RPMs, you have about 340 and then it kinda stays there, the Red gives you plenty of torque if you ask for it. I made 400 on Pump gas. 415WHP is good at 7K but begins to fall; I am just getting started there. It is all what you like, for a Street car it’s hard to beat the Red. The HTA Green is for someone who needs just a little more and it does that perfectly, 415Pump gas is amazing and exactly what the turbo should be doing.

Ha! I'll get it fixed to go twice the size

Little difficult on knowing what it'll look like when I'm internal on the same network as my server.

Ok - so the dyno results should be better sized now.

Maybe it's me but looking at the two graphs both start to lean off after 7k. I'm also guessing by the look of it you chose like me to not go with a heavier valve spring for dependability seeing these are street cars.

I do like after your tune how the power is smoothed out a ton more than the previous where it was a bit more erratic.

The boost spikes like any stock frame turbo. If I were to run more boost it would hold more up top, I am barely scratching the surface. I have the 25PSI Actuator FYI.

Power is a bit low for a 29 psi on the one graph..I had the red on my old evo and made 498 and 440 tq stock cams on 30.5 psi and holding 30 psi till redline.I had a hybrid boost setup it was a 3 port with a hallman.I would get a grimspeed 3 post and dump that hallman that's old tech and the power will hold better and longer. You have a sweet strong looking setup.

Nice set up and numbers!! Are you still running the stock block? I've been thinking about going to a Red or a Black at some point but I can't really afford a new motor anytime soon.

Does it say Hallman? I run an AEM Tru Boost. I need a 5 Bar maps sensor before I raise the boost and a wide band to see if I am lean at all. You can push your car but my car is quite safe with low to mid 11 AFR.

Yes stock, keep it safe and you won't need a new motor.
