Run it at the track and let's see what it traps..

On a side note, what difference does it make what the compressor cover says, it may very well say 9.8 but it could have a 10.5 hotside because the po changed it, which seems more realistic

Solid numbers for sure

The only thing I am hung up on was the comment stating 30 psi spike and holding 27 up top...I didnt think that much boost could be held at redline, assuming that the stock turbo would be out of air.

I'll let Tom answer this one.. I wasn't sure either..

He mentioned something about the new MBC's having their stiffest spring yet but

and the comment about the 10.5 hotside.. Very true.. I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

i think he was confused.. because we both know a stock 8 turbo will spike high then taper very very quickly. its not uncommon to see a boost gauge show a slower drop then whats really occurring though and i believe thats the case here.

IF the car was holding that much boost then the wastegate would be aftermarket, and we confirmed it wasn't already visually.

and this is a good point.. and it has to be a 10.5 housing.. i don't think this is even possible with a 9.8.

i don't think there's any unique markings on a 10.5 vs 9.8 tho right? so there's no way to determine the two.

245/45/18 tire on the vehicle. which comes out to 26.68 in virtual dyno when you put it in.

Do you really think that the Hp amount it made is really the true number?

I'm not trying to be a dick but that hp spike isn't real power. Its something in the road or a error in the log. The car looks like its making more like 380whp. When a graph looks that off, increase the smoothing factor.

+1 I'm starting to lose faith in everyone using the program correctly.

???????????????????????????????

do you honestly think i would post a graph claiming over 400
if it really wasn't over 400 with high smoothing factors? i have been
using this application for a long time now, and know exactly how
it works.

the highest smoothing factor of 10 is still 397. that tells me the car is
most likely in the 415-420 range on a real dynojet with a smoothing of 0
in STD.

I think it's important to keep in mind that Tom has tuned a ton of Evos and very few have had less than stellar results with high, low, middle, none, etc smoothing factors and obstacles. He isn't some guy who grabbed the program, threw in a log and posted a graph claiming he is a miracle worker. Tom has posted overlays after overlays of logs back to back showing consistent curves multiple times.

I'm not just saying this because Tom tuned my car also...I'm saying this because I have yet to see anything or anyone prove that the cars he tunes aren't capable of the numbers the program shows and people have gone to dynos to compare and the numbers are consistent.

Keep up the good work man!
