Are these runs done in 4th or 3rd?

I'm pretty excited to see all these new turbos going at it! Once I get my drivetrain and suspension sorted it out I'm gonna be looking for that big powa!

Ben says he can't run his car at 34 psi, the COP he is running (not ours) breaks up over 30 psi. I asked him to do his best and offered to take a look at the map in his car to make sure it's not something in the tune causing it.

dave i just noticed you said your done with the other thread so i figured id post my question here. and add some to it.

why not give the new PTE6266 a try. it is a direct bolt up to your setup now right? there new 66mm turbine wheel is really becoming a big hit. also the S300SX in the event you cant get the EFR turbo. the s300sx is a EFR comp/turbine without all the jaz the EFR has as extra's. maybe thats an option if you cant get the EFR.

Nice write up David. All three turbos are very capable street monsters. Now with all that being said, will you keep the 3586 on Badbish?

Classic informative thread by Buschur. I think I'll try that 3076 on an upcoming project.

Thanks for sharing the info!

Thank you BenJ, very much. Nice to look at the data like that. I get the information out there and like the testing but my presentation lacks!

For the BadBish the HTA86 stays. My goal of running 8's with the car is still there and I want to accomplish that eventually. The other two turbo's are not capable of running 8's. I can autocross the car with the HTA86 and with the better suspension/tire/brakes that are on the car I should be able to carry more speed, which will result in higher RPM and make the turbo even better.

We are working on an EFR for the car, so I can test it. I'm a show me guy, reading and tech articles don't cut it. I hope it is the magic solution, I want to run what's best and I want to sell what's best, always have. To date Forced Performance has beat everything else and that is why I run his products.

Dan, not interested in the PTE stuff, it won't fit in our FF configuration as far as I know and I am sure it won't spool faster than what I have. I'm not looking for a drag turbo and will not give up any low/top end over what I have now. So if there is a turbo swap in my future it's gonna have to be sprinkled with magic fairy dust and make more low end and match the top end or make the same low end and beat the top end. To date every turbo that I have used from PTE that is comparable to FP's line up has been beaten on spool up.

BenJ, Thanks for putting this into excel and graphing it out, including the slope. Haven't seen quadratic equations in a while I guess. Good to know someone hitting it up on EVOm. HTA 86 looking beastly past 5500 by a long shot

Yeah, that HTA86 is disgusting up top lol. I'm looking forward to seeing some EFR results if you can ever get your hands on one of the damn things. They might as well be sprinkled with faerie dust and crushed unicorn horns for how rare they are.

I'm waiting to see what the 6266 does. I may convert to a HTA86 next year.

the way i see it, the evo wont ever make tq early enough like a 3.8 or 5.7, but where they fall flat on their face up top, these big turbos shine with a good enough tq after revving. Man oh man a 3586 or pt 6266 really is great once spooled. You are slammed into the seat as it pulls and unlike other turbos you think "ok.. is this thing going to stop??!" nope. Continuous pulling, a graph doesn't do it justice really. How does the 3794 fit into all this?

Do you expect a difference as great between the 3076 and 3586 to 3586 and 3794 or less?

Thanks for posting this DB & BenJ....3586 is a beast! 3076 looks like a very fun turbo though, over 400wtq by 4000, sounds good to me!

The 6266 is larger than the HTA86, the 3794 I believe is even larger than the 6266.

Let me try and make something clearer for everyone.

My EVO weighs about 2950 lbs at race weight. It has gone 9.04 at 159.64 mph. IF you are not planning on going quicker/faster than that with an EVO that weighs that much, then you are a FOOL to run a larger turbo. The bigger turbos are harder to drive, suck driving them around on the street and in most cases fit worse.
