Question, Re: 12.6 AFR for @ 1 second at @ 3500 RPMs, WOT, 5th Gear

I just noticed this the other day and was able to reproduce it the next day on demand (2 or 3 times). I do have a logging cable installed for my AEM UEGO but I have not bought the tactrix cable or downloaded the software to actually log it so please don't ask for my logs, this is simply based on me watching my AEM at WOT in 5th which is a scary thing to do.

I didn't notice this until a few weeks after my tune. I'm staying out of WOT in 5th until I get a retune/hear that this is no big deal. I don't know how many times I may have rowed through 3500 at WOT in 5th on the street (I'm guessing not many) but the times I tested it it only lasted about one second before settling back at 11.2 or 11.4 or so.

The questions:
How bad is this? What do you think the odds are that the motor has sustained damage?

Please give me some insight. Thanks very much.

I wouldnt worry about it, its not ideal but you can get away with murder if its only for a second. What does it do in other gears? Factory lean spool will run leaner and can get overrun fast because of spool time, some factory cars (STI) will hold a 14.0 independent of boost level till 4500 and that was planned.

For sure sounds like lean spool. Alot can also do with how your getting on the throttle. ie roll on it quick stab etc.

Like Aaron said nothing to really stress about if it's a quick glimps
