seems the first graph is the better back to back of these two turbos. they are close enough in size to not need a retune.
second graph should be titled " 6266 on old tune vs. 6466 on Rons magic tune"
so one has to wonder how the 6266 would perform on the magic tune...

0.82 A/R V Band on both, both were Ball Bearing SP covers

Right, which is why I showed the power for power graph on the first one. The reason I posted the second one, even though the 6466 was at more boost, was to show the spool comparison basically. Thats what I look at when i'm in the market for a turbo, If I can buy a bigger turbo and keep spool like I did, its pretty much a win win

you got it to spool faster with additional tuning. and what that means is if you slap the 6266 back on with current tune the 6266 would be spooling faster as well. and since boost was higher on 6466 its anybodies guess which would make more power at same higher boost.

Guys I don't think Troy was out to do a scientific comparison lol. Take the test for what its worth.
Ron tuned both his setups, its not like the 6266 was untuned, it was still tuned by Ron. On the same tune at roughly the same psi they spooled nearly the same on RS's dyno that day...it is that simple. A million factors come into play. Now I doubt the 6266 had another 5psi in it like the 6466 did, of usable power I mean. I am guessing more psi on the 6266 would've tapered off before the 6466. Troy still has some stuff holding his setup back too, so its tough to say anything for sure.
All you can do is look at what he posted.

Peak boost isn't the question 94 is after (I don't think). Why would PTE sell a smaller turbo that doesn't spool faster? It kinda makes the 6266 irrelevant if the 6466 can spool as quick as it?
I was going to go straight to a 6466 but I think I'm just going to get them to upgrade my 6266 (cheaper route) and see how much that'll make first. I'll be doing at the same dyno and with the same tuner as AMF so even though its not the same day it give a little better comparison.
Thanks for the info its impressive nevertheless.

Thanks man! Try to come out to BIR the 23rd for Wednesday night drags, Its a pretty long haul from you though. I went earlier this year with mediocre results, I couldn't get it to shift all day, put a solid front motor mount in and its good to go now!
We'll see how it goes this time!
