The sst turbo is just about the same as as an ef3. The difference is the intake side flows like 15% more if i recall correctly. I used the comp cover for my ef4. Maybe Chris can verify this being I am going off memory.

I like them a lot they are really good power adders and very nice pieces. Although when I go 2.4 I am going larger tb and different intake mani.

I thought choosing an IM and TB would be easy but there are so many options. I think Im sold on a 75 or 70mm TB. Im still unsure on the IM though. Im looking at the AMS F1, MAP Rev3, or JMF.

If your keeping a 2 liter, I would just stick with the rev3 which is an awsome piece or a JFM mani. I like the stealth look so that is the reason I choose the rev3. With that turbo I would go either of those 2 intake mani's and a 65mm tb.

+1 on the JMF.

+2 on the being done with being screwed over by shops

+3 on ANOTHER TUNER getting you some reasonable HP out of a throttlebody Intake Mani upgrade.

As long as the work was done correctly you'd be hard pressed to find something under 25 that can match what you have currently.

I feel you though. If this doesn't work it needs to be factory fast so I don't have to deal with a shop anymore.

Great power on the old SST! I know you said you made more power on a single walbro previously, but don't you think you're a bit on the edge with 30psi and E85?

the SST is virtually identical to EF2 flow wise. this setup would make 550+ with the EF3. peak numbers are great. but very peaky. numbers drop quickly with RPM.

You have to remember this turbo is what the ef3 became. The difference is the ef3 has a little large wheel and the inlet compressor was designed differently. It was made to work with stock housing where the sst was a totally different design. The sst was compaired to a red such as the ef3. Different tweeks in the 2 turbos though. All in all I like both turbos an awful lot
