Would the torque come on too quickly and jeopardize throwing a rod?

What does "punched" refer to when discussing the fuel pump?
If you snap/throw a rod on a built 2.4 with this turbo or any of the FP turbos then your 2.4 was built like ****.

a built 2.4 can handle some serious torque.

Well this is encouraging. I guess I get scared when I think about having 500wtq.

I just did not know what the threshold is for the MAP 2.4LR Stage 1 shortblock.

I may shoot for 500+tq for S&G's on my 2.4l. Just let this 20G hit 40psi in the mid range. Tq is FUN!

Question:

Did the turbo get ported or does it really matter?

Tom, just curious but why does the torque come on so slow, 400wtq by what 4300? shouldnt that be hitting somewhere around 3800/3900rpms?

because the pull was started over 3000RPM. this turbo spools almost identical to a stock turbo basically.

heres a pull where it started around 2850.

im the reason for him starting the pulls later.. i didn't want it to hit that hard down low while tuning it..
after all its a stock block and this turbo hits really hard. this thing would make the same tq as hp easily
if i allowed it.

Tim sent me a video today of him destroying a modded c5 z06 from a roll by 3+ cars.

Just sharing that so others can get an idea of the performance of this car.

its on my facebook.

I'm having FP upgrade my new 9 turbo to 71 hta. Can't wait!

Can you post the video on here and maybe the dyno pulls if you have those?

I am not allowed to post the video here. The dyno graph is on the first page. Its virtual dyno (VD). The c5 z06 he raced had a pro tune, intake/exhaust, i believe thats all.

check my facebook. the videos on the right. its a green evo 8.

also no problem.
