Lightly Modded Stock 9.8 turbo Self Tuned V7 294/286 VD

Finished my tune today, 294/286. Previous results posted were 283/280. I have tapped out my almost 100k mile (will turn it tomorrow) baby. Increases in timing did not make any gains from where it sits right now. Leaning out induced knock in the upper rpm's. Quick 25psi spike and tapers to 22 at 7k.

I will be getting it on a dynojet soon to see what the SAE corrected numbers are so I can begin NASA Time Trials this year. Then it will be time for e-85.

Power Mods are as follows:
Perrin filter w/ maf adapter
Megan 3" dp, tp, cat-back
Grimmspeed 3-port
Wally 255

Stock block
Stock head
Stock 9.8 housing turbo
Stock injectors
No porting of anything at all

Thank you for your time.

Very nice. Good to see numbers on a car with minimal mods. I'm hoping to install a 3 port pretty soon after I get the car together and make the most out of each mod.

Best of luck!

Thanks. Ya it is tough to find results for very lightly modded VIII's or IX's anymore.

Update your Virtual dyno, its super old.

Also, in this weather with 93oct, you should be able to hit about/least 320hp.

I have been lazy updating that apparently lol. I have no doubt it will get there. I have finally been able to get repeatable results after switching to V7 and learning the 3-port. Next step is midrange timing, currently only running 2* from peak boost to 5300. The it will be to lean it out up top, currently it tapers from 11.3 to 11 @ 5500, then to 10.6 by 7k. I am hoping to do that this weekend and post my final results.

I was just so happy I felt I needed to share .

Absolutely. End goal is 11.1 up top for when I go to the track (boost lowered a bit as well), and 11.3 for the street.

Question for you, is it possible to surge a stock turbo on my setup? I am getting some flutter right before peak boost, but thinking it is the wastegate since I haven't put anymore preload into it than stock.
