I don't think it's boost creep. Looks like an error. And if it is, the numbers may also be slightly inflated too

Thanks guys. the reason i went this route on this vehicle is because Matt told me this cars his daily driver and he relies on it.. it wont be running e85 100% of the time, but when he does run it, i want to make sure the torque is kept to a minimum as much as possible.

That boost curve you see is 100% done by me.. its being done with a 3 port and mbc combined. its 100% controlled.

His goal was 600WHP.. it did not get reached, but at 550 he was already afraid of the car.. so overall his goal was reached.. he said the car feels like Kingda Ka.

heres the boost curve as i raised it up top end only:

Log boost plot:

Interesting. That's cool. What psi does it go from 6 to 7.5k rpm? Does boost fall off at all at redline?

OHHH So that is the hybrid boost. I will be going this route as well. Can you go into more detail on how it works?

I will have a similiar setup with toxic fab hot parts, skunk2 ported corrected intake manifold/FB 70mm TB/GSC S2's ect..

I posted the raw log of the boost curve. no it does not fall off it goes up until he lifts. we stopped right about 39psi on the dot.

It uses the mbc like normal, but the 3 port allows you to increase boost pressure and avoid boost drop. its like fine tuning the boost curve of the mbc.. its pretty awesome stuff.

---------------

i was gonna go my usual approx similar to this car: here

until he told me it was his daily driver.. then i went.. UH.. what? .. so i decided to take the most conservative approach i possibly could to avoid torque throughout the entire powerband but produce it at the very peak
of the rpm range... and this was the result. i think it turned out pretty well, and the car should do quite well at the track since we focused on upper rpm's.

I'll wait until Matt comes in here and responds about his car.. i think hes busy right now though.

nice work, Tom. Very interesting way to control that torque. with it being that flat and always increasing, I can only imagine how fun it is on the street.

good stuff

Tom, thanks for getting the results up! I appreciate all the great comments from everyone. The first e85 pass in the car scared the **** outta me.

This is the 3rd time Tom has remotely tuned my car and each time he finds ways to really make the best of my setup...his tuning knowledge is constantly evolving to stay on the cutting edge.

Glad I made the switch to e85, speed density and hybrid boost...Most everything I've done in the last few years has been based on Tom's recommendations and he's never given bad advice or sold anything that wasn't needed.

We started with FIC 1550s which didn't run perfectly (due to a weird resister issue on my car) after switching to the FIC 2150's and bypassing the resister box...idle, low load cruising improved significantly.

Tom really hit the mark and delivered exactly what I asked for....a quick spooling setup that maximized power while keeping me safe on the stock motor!!!

When going to a hybrid boost control setup, do you set the MBC for a "baseline" of, say 22 psi, then use the WGDC tables to build more boost with RPM? I'd love to see a pic of that duty cycle table

Nice work by the way, car sounds like it's an animal!
