Tom,

Would you say the AFR is not in check because of the stock fuel lines at this point?

Woah. This is a true ripper roughly 800whp mustang, 300ft lbs of torque before 4500rpm! Massive powerband. Truly a beast that's forsure. I'm interested to see what it does with more fuel and a few more lbs or boost!

yes.

=========

Here are two runs he did over the weekend. I richened it more in the map uptop and leaned mid range. Can't richen it more, so this is what it did on a double pumper and -6 feedline.

He is switching to a -8 feedline then we will see what we get from that.

We should be putting it on a real dyno soon also. i would assume the 818WHP pull is most accurate. The red line has no spikes in it though or anything. here is that for reference at smoothing 0 which displays the diagnostic background of vd raw values:

I'm gonna get it on a dynojet in a couple weeks as is to compare the readings as it is now. After that, we'll upgrade the fuel line to see how far it will go. I always do back to back runs and have noticed how different they are. It seems that with this setup, starting at 3K vs 3500 or in this case, 3500 vs 3700 can make as much as a 30-40 horsepower difference. The car feels really strong either way, but you can feel that it doesn't quite recover as well from a run starting with the turbo lagging. If the run begins at the beginning of the boost threshold, the car is a whole new monster and the VD seems to back it up.

this car raced a very fast lingenfelter 7.2L c6 z06 last week to get a idea where he stood power wise.

keep in mind this specific c6z traps over 140 on all motor no nitrous (which is ridiculous). with nitrous its in the 150+ mph.

Steve lost by about 3 cars. not too bad.

Vette sticks side by side just about with Hennessey GT-1100 (1100whp Ford GT / TT & SC (Mullets car) and UGR 1200whp lambo.

When he raced Steve he was only spraying a 200 shot he said. when he ran the other two supercars mentioned above 350 shot.

Thanks Tom! Hellraiser's car is impressive to say the least. I'm glad that this setup is as strong as it is. Your tuning is what has kept this thing together. I've probably done almost 100 WOT passes and it still amazes me every time. I can't wait to see what this car will do once I replace the fuel line restriction.

I have to give credit to Tom for the tuning on this car. I've made countless pulls in it, and it still makes me nervous! The weather has been colder here lately, and it still runs excellent. If I would have known that the car could be this reliable, I would have swapped to speed density a long time ago.

Thanks Steve. We did really good with this car.

The corvette picture i posted above, just to give an idea how fast it was, it lost to an 8.90's consistent Camaro by only about 2-3 car lengths from a roll.

Did you upgrade the fuel line from the double pumpers to the rail? Please explain. I have been try looking into upgraded mine and have been getting a run around on what needs to be upgraded for 750-800+ hp.

Tell me if this is right, from the BR duel pump 2-6AN lines to a "Y" to -8AN line to an -8AN fuel filter -8AN out to fuel rail. On the other side of the fuel rail you go -6AN out into a fuel pressure regular then just the stock return line that connects to the bottom of the fuel pressure regular.

Does that seem right?

I don't think he ever did. We reached the max limit of the hard lines on this car for sure.

That setup will work fine. What I did is this on my car:

BR double pumper
Y line fitting (same as he includes with his kit except i put new hose on mine since i redid all my lines, but i used the same hose he used. (i believe it was 3/8")

Then I went to a fuelab inline fuel filter with 6 micron fiberglass filter. -8 an ends on the filter. then got some AN fittings to make it adapt for the Y fitting.

Then from there i got a kevlar an hose -8 from the filter to the rail. Im using an STM fitting for the rail.

For the return line you can just swap the hose around and use the old hard feedline as your return line and that will work perfect for you. no need to run a separate line for the return

I'm using a stock FPR still, since that's the luxury of having the 2nd pump kick on at around 6-8psi. no need for an aftermarket unless you want to push more out of your injectors.

Are you worried at all having the second pump kick in at the 6-8psi? What if it doesn't kick in is there a fail safe?

I ran 800+hp for a year and a half with a double pump setup on a hobbs. I never had an issue, but the threat is there if a switch or pump fails. I forgot to hook it up once and went out to street tune, fortunately I was watching the wideband and let out as soon as I saw it go lean as it was building boost, but im sure if u don't catch it soon enough some damage could be done, but honestly I think as long as your conscious of how it's supposed to feel and alert you can prevent melting stuff down.
