BOOSTED TUNING Custom Road Tune - EVO 9/Kinugawa 25G/Stock Block on 91oct & E85

EVO 9

Kinugawa 25G turbo with ported and polished 11.5 hot side w/ billet wheel & 2 bar WGA
Kelford 272 cams with duel beehive springs and retainers
AMS intercooler
Nesei hard pipes
Skunk2 intake w. 68 mm TB
Skunk2 composit fuel rail
1450cc bluemax injectors
MAP Short Runner Mani
o2 housing
DP
STOCK CAT
HKS cat back exaust
Spoolin up COP

Tuned this car last week. Dont know yet how I feel about the turbo. The wastegate is definitely no good. All the way preloaded and 100% WGDC gave us only 28-29psi.

Also, the stock cat was definably holding the car back. I think with a test pipe, this car would see 500hp+.

E85 was the main focus. 91oct map wasnt pushed or explored much.

Last, I tuned this car during a heat wave. The temp during tuning was in the 85-90* range, but that was 2-3am at night. Temps during the day during the heat wave were 105*+ (highest was 112*) for 5 days.

91oct @ 26-27psi

E85 @ 28-29psi, Conservative timing because of stock cat

Wow, get rid of that stock cat! Total junk.

Also, the spool on this turbo is trash! Perhaps it's that garbage wastegate?

Yea, that lag is quite rediculous. Peak power looks great though!

It's really hard to get a read on these results because of the Stock Cat. That will hurt power, spool and pretty much everything.

Here's my recent dyno tune video with this turbo. I don't have a graph as their printer was down. I'll be sure to get a VD here pretty soon and make my own thread as well. I just wanted to share what it can do.

The high boost level is due to low timing, id say leave turbo right about where its at boost wise and start adding timing. Ramp that **** up down low too and you should get some spool back. The lag is due to the wastegate actuator though.
