Ya it will go 9's this year if it gets done in time. And Ronnie's car is very very heavy. Its a full weight SSL + in dash dvd and navigation etc. So for him to be going that fast is extremely impressive for those who know him personally.

The rod side clearance was to tight on his last engine not allowing oil to properly exit, so the engine didn't last to long maybe a couple thousand miles. His new machine shop is more knowledgeable, and is not skipping any major steps this time.

Lots of changes since last season. Mostly to avoid blowing up though.

Curt Brown ported head (with some custom oiling tricks) Block is at the machine shop with new Wiseco pistons, Manley rods, etc. Also picked up an AMS oil pan, English Racing oil pump gear, Frontline Fab CAS covers, hot parts ceramic coated, brembos, valve cover and TiAL covers are out @ Detective Coating now. Oh also removed ACD and the tcase is out getting ACD taken out and new ring & pinion. Over $6k this month alone, fml.

Head:

Block:

Cas covers, custom "chem film" coated at my work:

Gold hot parts:

AMS/Moroso oil pan:

The stuff to go 9s:

Looks good Ronnie. That pan will help you a lot. Might be a pain in the *** to seal though.

Looks awesome man. Take a look at this link for the install on the ams pan. I just installed mine, and had to notch the baffle the same way in order for it to not have a 1/4"-1/2" gap between the block.

6k in one month is def a lot on any car! I did that in March I think I was closer to 9k tho. All worth it in the end when you get it up and running!

Showbizz41 to answer your question i was talking to him a couple weeks ago, he plans on getting it running before and i think he said his break in is driving it to OH!

My AMS pan leaked at the oil drain as soon as it was filled with oil. It's an extremely stupid design

I see you also have an AMS pan that doesn't have their logo welded on. I'll probably trim the baffle tomorrow at work, and I'll be checking the flange straightness as well (on a granite surface with an actual dial indicator on a height gauge)

I think he said timing wasn't really agressive. Looks like 40~ psi ? Takes upper 40s on a 2.0 to hit 800 on a MD. doesn't seem that off
