Jam 2.4l hks 274/278 hks 7460gt2 e85

Me and Chris had some fun tonight with his 2.4L and HKS 7460GT2. Pretty much the car is a torque monster. I am sure this car is a blast to drive around.

This setups only temporary until next year, then hes installing the fp black he has waiting.

Heres a 3rd and 4th gear pull at 35-36psi. The 2.4 is just to much displacement for this little turbo. It is out of breath uptop and can not hold boost well at all.

Not trying to kill the turbo, i kept wgdc within 90% at high rpm & 80% downlow.

Mods:

JAM 2.4 Manley turbotuff rods / Wiseco HD pistons
Curt Brown built head
HKS 7460GT2 turbo
HKS 274in 278ex cams
modified mivec gear
BR Race FMIC
BR o2 housing
3" turboback exhaust
Grimmspeed 3 port
FIC 1100cc inj
Modified Walbro 255
Tephra v7 MAF /w ecuboost

Graph:

This setups a little street sweeper with this low end punch.

Revised 3rd gear final adjustments:

Car has stock crank, JAM build the motor. JAM did really good job building the motor, really couldn't ask for better service. Torque comes in so brutal I can't really believe how my car sounds-runs now. Mash the throttle in 5th gear above 2.5k gets you insane torque. I had that turbo for 3 years now but it really shines with build motor. Thanks Tom for great tune.

This power would be perfect for a SM autocross car. loads of torque down low to pull out of the corners.

That's pretty much what I want out of my car.

Good Job on the build and tune.

i wonder how the car will react with some S3s and maybe a Magnus v5 and 65mm+ TB? can you say the widest powerband for sub 500whp goals

We did some more tweaking in 3rd gear. This cars nuts. I think its 600tq in 4th now.

its fully tapped out now, but i cant imagine this thing on a mini road course or auto-x. it would be brutal.

Also im pretty sure the rotating assembly is balanced to within .5 grams so that helps a lot.

Thanks guys.

I dont know but id like to find out.

A lot of people are underestimating this torque curve. this would scare the crap out of a lot of people including myself.

powerband up and to the right while the torque curve suffers?
