That crank is a work of art.

The internals in this shortblock have more bling then a jewelry store.

thanks!
Biases torque faster and can make some noise during turning but it handles more predictably. The US got screwed but everywhere else in the world came with the 8 disc setup so it cant be too bad. I dont mind it but then again I dont mind lots of things about driving cars, triples, 290* cams, driving at 3500 everywhere, etc.

About 3450 with the cage

There was a 1-2-1 because of how easy the dogbox shifts. It hit 12,000 before the clutch disengaged. It still runs and drives but we have enough experience to know that the valves are now suspect as well as springs.

This is an SLR2.2 so its the 4G63. The LR2.2 (I realise that there are lots of things with LR in them now) is the 4G64 and has the 159mm rods in it.

Nice vid... I keep looking at that graph... The combo is pretty nice. The spool seems like it comes in early for the size turbo that it's using.

The dogbox shifting has gotten a few people. Some of my friends have done it in synchro transmissions.

Nice numbers. I like the idea of a 2.2 slr. Ever do this setup in a 1g, I'm wondering if it's possible to fit aluminum rods in a 6bolt 63 block with 94 mm stroke?

Yes we have built SLR2.2 6 bolts as well. None of them aluminum rod yet but that wont matter, it will fit just as well as it does in an Evo block.

Great build Aaron.
Curious, I just did a few quick sums on the fuel system and flow requirements, running 40+ base pressure with that boost on a turbo that size on E98 pushes it way past normal 044 ability.

Assuming you're running alot higher pump voltage?

80psi base, dual 044s, and just the normal 75 amp relay rewire. I dont know that we checked it on this car but on other cars I have seen 14v at the pump doing this.
