Evo 8 help with goal?
Hey guys new owner to my 03 Evo8 as of a month ago. I bought it with a few mods from previous owner but he never had it on a dyno. Now that I have it I wanna tune it in the next month or so. My goal is to be around the 450whp mark as it is my daily driver.
Mods list:
Kelford 272 cams
3" exhaust with test pipe
Perrin boost controller
Stage2 clutch (unknown)
Denso 720cc injectors
Aem wideband
Aem boost controller
Megun oil pressure
Currently tuned on e-tuning by Jay at boostedtuning at 24psi...
I'm looking into tuning on e85 as I've heard and read that its the best bang for the buck... (feel free to tell me differently) also before I tune I'm looking into better IC piping, IC, fuel pump, Injectors and BOV..also maybe a port job to the manifold... if you guys can pitch in any ideas on what parts to go with or if you have any for sale it'll be greatly appreciated.

For fuel I would ditch those injectors and pick up a set of Fic 1050 or ID1000. For a fuel pump grab yourself a walbro 450/416/whatever they call it e85 pump. You may also want to consider getting an FPR and Rail.
You're not going to hit 450 on an 03 turbo. Maybe a 73HTA w/ 10.5 housing.
I can't see your mod list because I'm replying but you'll need headstuds and I would consider picking up a set of valve springs & retainers if you want to use the cams to their potential.

Realistically you can hit 400 with E85. You'll need a larger turbo as mentioned before to get 450. Perhaps something like an fpgreen definitely an fpred or similar turbo can do it. I think you'd be pushing the stock 8 turbo out of its efficiency range anyway trying to hit 450.

He can get the 9 turbo like me but will need to run meth or E85 and speed density that will put you close like maybe 430.

Headstuds are more related to how much boost you're running. Generally the most ppl run is 24psi which is what you're at now I guess it all depends on what kind of dyno you're using. If you're using virtual dyno I think you'll maybe be able to hit 400 but it's going to be a spike of power and not a constant 400
Do you have an aftermarket Fmic ?

A EVO 9 turbo isn't just plug and play? I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to run e85 just wanna know why you have to run meth or e85 to use a 9 turbo on a 8..if you don't mind explaining.

You are going to be held back by injectors if you want in the 400's. you need a lot more fuel for e85. On a mustang dyno I put down 380hp 370tq with s1 cams, stock 9 turbo, 1120cc injectors, tbe, walbro. I've seen people with the stock 9 turbo around 450 but they are built motor and race head. I'm selling my 9 turbo because I just went with a red pm me if interested

The reason I said meth or E85 is simply because you wont make 450 or anything too close with just the 93 octane on a stock turbo. The guys here would know what I am talking about.I just retune with a 9 turbo, some basic bolt on, meth with 93 octane made 398whp and 394tq on a dynojet good luck though !
