BR 2.4L FP Black JB/MHI Map Rev2 E70 27psi progressive to 34psi

This is an example of aggressive torque control. This car has an Exedy twin HD, but with a setup that can produce a ton of torque if tuned for it and create clutch slip instantly (as it did during tuning).

This car wants to go to the Buschur shootout this weekend, so we had to make what we had work.

id like to note with a few changes to the car it will make a lot more power. If we swapped for s3 cams, SS FP housing, we would be looking at closer to 700whp. During the winter we will be refreshing this customers setup entirely.

Mods:
BR 2.4L manley billet crank / manley pistons
BR ported head
BR 272 cams (Need changed for GSC S3)
BR Race FMIC
BR 3" exhaust
TSComptuned double pumper
ID1700X injectors
JMFAB tubular exhaust manifold
FP Black MHI journal bearing
Map Rev2 intake manifold
Tephra v7 /w 2-stage boost control

A clutch should be at the top of the "to get" list.
Hopefully he is trailering this to the gtr shootout.

I would think R2's would be the better choice for the 2.4.

S3 will make more power then R2 on any setup. The R2 would be better if the customer wants more downlow then the S3.

Ya the track is like glue so the launch might toast the clutch asap.

It is and yes he did trailer it. The clutch has 25K miles on it.

You have back to back testing to show that? I don't see a motor that only revs to 8k needing the duration of the S3. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just would simply like to see it. Mostly because GSC says otherwise.

Of course and you can also ask Aaron. Even stock turbo the S3 make more but it shifts the power band to the right so is it really making the car faster or not?

In the long run you can have a car that peaks more HP but overall power band in general hurts the performance based on turbo size, etc. I wouldn't be recommending an S3 cam on a stock turbo car, but if you want numbers it will certainly beat the S1 that are more designed for it.

The R2 aren't supposed to work on a 2.0 either but they do. Whats on paper always doesn't happen in real life. It really comes down to all the parts working together.

Also for a 2.4 yes the S3 will make a lot more power and not really hurt spool either.
