Ets intercooler tune

Hey guys had an awesome day at evans tuning today . I got tuned by Jeff earlier this yr with an ets intake, magnaflow catback exhaust , ets catted test pipe, invidia dp. I made 280 whp. He told me the stock intercooler was holding me back. So I added an ets intercooler kit and went back to Jeff today and netted and extra 58 whp off the intercooler. I can't believe how much just from that mod. Here's my old tune vs my new tune. Same dyno, same tuner . 338 whp/350tq

Haha for sure ! But tuning gets pricey haha. I did all the mods I wanted to. Think the car is at a decent level where i can have fun and not worry about to much breaking . Atleast I hope. Most of you guys on here are crazy with your 500+ hp evos haha.

I agree youll want more eventually. My car feels slow and it makes around 5. When it was freshly tuned it felt fast as f.

Now its time for a fpblack.

You'll definitely want more power. I said the same exact thing when I bought my low mileage Evo 3 years ago.

you will want more, but more power more problems. I've seen soooo many quests for more power end in a car that doesn't get driven and eventually sold. My mustang for example hasn't been in one piece for like a decade. Its basically a bottomless pit i throw money into every now and then.

I agree. If i ever build my block its gonna be a basic 2.0 with forged parts and a factory location turbo.

You can make 500 hp on stock block with head studs. Just keep torque down.

Yea but it's never just 500 and your good. Need bigger turbo, need clutch , need injectors , prolly will need a stronger transfer case at some point. It doesn't end. I think I'm at a good safe number and can mess with alot of cars. Haven't lost to a Subaru yet, and that always feels good, actually killed one right before writing this post lol

I dont think a fmic will pick up 58 whp on a stock turbo.

Prob the lower intercooler pipe too that helped.
