2.4 set up and hp numbers

new to the stoker worlds. all my other evos have been 2.0s this is the first one I get with a stoker motor 2.4

anything crazy about them aside from faster spool and less rev?

I got a 6262 bb going on and wondering what hp levels are good to stay around on a stroker motor, its a evo d stage 2 and will have 2150s, double pumper, bcs 272s already has and 4.5 intercooer.

Any head work?
GSC R2's and S3's are the **** for the 2.4L's.
And if you want to extract every ounce of power from your set-up, then a billet JMF drag intake or a Magnus intake will help the big block breath in the higher rpms.

LR2.4L's can spin up to 8,500rpms.

2.4L 4G64's are not considered strokers.
A) 4G64 stroker = stroke > 100mm
B) 4G64 destroker = stroke < than 100mm

Magnus or JMF billet.
Research the AMS units, IIRC, I've read on here the AMS units have fitment issues.

Those bearing clearance are on the tight side. Piston to wall clearance is the difference in size between the piston and the bore, it allows the piston to grow with heat. You spec this based on your expected power level when building the engine.

You also need to find out what wrist pins are in it. Standard .200 wall pins have a limit.

Will be a torque monster with that 6262 on it. Lots of fun on the street, but you will need to control the torque or you'll be breaking teeth off gears in the transmission.

Definitely put some R2s or S3 in it.
