Full bolt on e85 evo 8
Hey everyone
So just got my evo remote tuned by Ian at optimized Performance (highly recommend!) and just wanted to share with ya'll some of the numbers.
So current mod list:
-Arp headstuds
-GSC S1 cams
-Greddy tic exhaust
-Stm high flow cat
-Hallman pro mbc
-Mishimoto radiator
-fp green (was an old school fp green, but apparently was sent back to fp to be converted to a 73hta, with MHI Housing)
-Ets 3.0" FMIC
-ETS licp and UICP
-FIC 1000cc injectors
-Walbro 255 fuel pump
-evo 9 BOV
-Ets intake system
-speed density
-Omni 4 bar
-Stock block with almost 123k on it
370whp and 369wtq on 93 @ 25psi
424whp and 389 wtq on e85 @ 29 psi

Im a porting noob, and I did ruin my original manifold being too aggressive. So I went more for smoothing then hogging out material in the ports in whats pictured. I was able to get a replacement for 75 bucks shipped though so chalk it up to cost of learning. There are tons of youtube videos on doing this though so you can look into the details.

Make sure to shape your collector for smoother transitional flows.

I recall the 02 housing being a pain in the *** to install with the turbo in the car.

I did put in some work on the collector area, I just didn't take pics. I just gasket matched it, which i figured i would do to the head at some point when my confidence level is high enough.

I won't try to remove any turbo studs while ithe turbo is still in the car. Those things feel like they were welded on!
